Chelsea is making a move for Eto’o. The English club, after making contacts in previous days with the agent for the Anzhi striker, presented an offer of 5 million euro per season. Eto’o is considering it, while Inter is at the window. They could make a two year offer with annual salary of 4 million euro should the situation continue to stall. Chelsea is the favorite, but Inter is remaining vigilant.

Big news about Willian's proposed move to the Premier League: word from a very reliable source has just filtered through to Guardian Towers that the Brazilian midfielder will not - repeat not - be moving to Tottenham. Despite completing a medical at White Hart Lane, he is no longer interested in a move to Spurs. In so far as you can presume anything in this game, it would appear he's off to Chelsea instead.

What inductive reasoning are we using to conclude that Willian's purchase will indicate, the ostracism of Mata?

Because quite frankly it no one within this forum has given any adequate reason aside from basic logic to dictate, what is a hypothetical situation.

Tescu, i think Mata simply doesnt fit into Mourinho's general idea of a football team, where he has players that both can run forward attacking, and do their share of defensive duty is in effect here. This is simply my opinion. I believe it comes from Mou's experience in Madrid where he had a similar player in Ozil, who struggled to consistently track back players running in his back.

It might be an attempt to start moving into a direction where he wont have that kind of issues. Chelsea are far from lacking in talented attacking midfielders, especially Oscar who i think has a higher work rate and will remind mou of sneijder of old.

The argument that Mata carried Chelsea last season is true, by his performances he was superb for them. But i dont think for a second that Mourinho sees him as an absolute essential piece for his success in England, his ego to large to accept that, and Mata is no Ronaldo.

Hazard, De Bruyne, Oscar, Willian and Schurrle will do Mourinho's bidding and obey his commands at all time. they will show a greater aptitude to defend their position, and to apply the counter attacking game mourinho loves so much.

just a theory, but i wouldnt be shocked if Mata gets canned.

Feel sorry for Spurs. First they miss out on Coentrao, now they miss out on Willian. Lamela is net. Mou afraid of that competition.

Mou doesn't emphasize midfield play other than for ball recovery and defensive impact. He likes one playmaker, wingers that have speed and a true CF.

He like physicality. In Spain, Mou's tactics got exposed by the technical mids and the tactical play. His ego got massively hurt.

He'd rather prove that his tactics are right and get rid of someone like Mata rather than adapt to a player of Mata's qualities. Just the way Mou is.

Then why is he willing to work with Hazard, Oscar and teach them how he wants them to play? And how would Willian be any better? It's not like he is a workhorse trying to defend at every possible moment.
