Then why is he willing to work with Hazard, Oscar and teach them how he wants them to play? And how would Willian be any better? It's not like he is a workhorse trying to defend at every possible moment.

those guys are better athletes than Mata by a mile or so, and they will prove to be a lot of docile when given defensive tasks. no need to be a work horse for that

Chelsea have agreed a £30m deal to sign attacking midfielder Willian from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala subject to a work permit hearing.

"The 25-year-old Brazilian was close to joining Tottenham after undergoing a medical on Wednesday. But it is understood Chelsea made their move at around 18:00 BST on Thursday, with a fee and personal terms agreed within 24 hours.

"Willian will undergo a medical before his work permit hearing takes place next week."

More chance of Mata getting benched lol. If mou's past indicates anything he likes cultured midfielders in the center midfield area and for all the defensive work rate of Oscar he isnt a CM.
