Don't know anything about the guy but if he's decent I could see him as a feasible back-up option the club were scouting with two summers' worth of reports like this (he'd be one of Wenger's signings from out of nowhere) ... but now it just looks like it might be a guy or his agent trying to raise his profile. Similar to Biglia stories that came around a lot. :coffee:

Only other explanation that comes to mind is if Anzhi "gazumped" Arsenal for Ahmedov in 2011 and Wenger's just kind of had him on the backburner as a maybe ever since.

Is that stopping all the top teams buying the player they want? bayern signed one of the best players in the world last month. We have been waiting for the transfer window to open for the past 8 years.
