Downing is a waste no doubt.
Too early to judge Carroll....he has shown signs of being outstanding. next year will tell. watch him lead Roy to Euro glory.

Calm down he has picked up but still nowhere near his Newcastle level and nowhere near worth 35m.

Dunno if this has been posted but the word is hot that Kenny rejected a 9million compensation and asked for it to utilized in funds for new players.

Sounds a lot like hero-worship speculation to me. Then again, if anyone would do it, Kenny would.Nishank wrote:Dunno if this has been posted but the word is hot that Kenny rejected a 9million compensation and asked for it to utilized in funds for new players.

Might go some way in rising Van Persie's salary and keeping him at the Emirates

Re: Reports: Dalglish out/leaving Liverpool
"Liverpool rang us and asked for permission to speak to Roberto, which I've given," Latics owner Dave Whelan told BBC Sport.
The Anfield hierarchy are approaching a number of candidates but former Watford and Reading boss Rodgers, 39, is now out of the picture.
In February, the Northern Irishman, who made his name as a coach with the youth team and reserves at Chelsea, was among those touted as possible replacements for Harry Redknapp at Tottenham if the Spurs boss were handed the England job.
At the time, he said: "If speculation comes with me doing the job well then I am flattered and honoured. However, this is the place I want to be, hopefully I can be here for the duration of my contract."

Martinez is one of like 10 managers that the club have approached (or approached the club/agent of) for discussions.

Any chance rafa coming back?
Any chance rafa coming back?
Re: Reports: Dalglish out/leaving Liverpool
He's on the shortlist, but as much as I'd like to see it I don't think it's a real possibility, since the owners are looking to restructure the footballing side of things and Rafa wouldn't like having the extremely limited power.Adit wrote:lol copy paste deception then

He's probably also not their first choice candidate, either.

Re: Reports: Dalglish out/leaving Liverpool
Rumors circulating on twitter that Laudrup is also in the running. I think this is the best news I have heard so far, I rate Laudrup very highly.
Also, seems like Klopp has ruled himself from consideration. But everyone probably already knew this, it was wishful thinking in the first place.

As good as he was as a player, he hasn't done anything to suggest that he's a top manager.

He has won the Danish Superliga, twice the Danish Cup and twice the Danish Super Cup with Brondby. And he had Getafe and Mallorca playing some sexy football when he was in charge. Getafe went all the way to quarters/semis (I can't remember which) of UEFA Cup barely losing on away goals to Bayern. He's done well everywhere he's gone actually with what he was given except maybe Spartak in 08 but they were in a very bad situation at the time.
