Dalglish: We Need More Hoofing

"We have to educate ourselves and maybe we have to not play the lovely football that we have been. Maybe we have to change our philosophies a wee bit."
He finally decides we may need a shift tactically from what we've been doing, but wants to play more directly... the exact opposite of everything we've been advocating in here.

On the positive side, it could mean Carroll starting every match now, as well as an actual winger on the right side of midfield rather than Henderson being shunted out there.stevieg8 wrote:http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1040941/kenny-dalglish:-liverpool-may-need-change-of-style?cc=5901

Re: Dalglish: We Need More Hoofing
This title is exquisitely misleading.
I don't see any mention of hoofing or direct football.
Change against beautiful football doesn't just leave room for simply another option. Also, he states "we may" which quite easily means he is musing.

Re: Dalglish: We Need More Hoofing
The article itself opined that he meant more direct football, I took this as an opportunity to make a fun title name. Regardless, the quotes that actually came from Kenny indicate a willingness to change tactics (a welcome thought), but to fix a problem none of us had perceived (not quite as much), so the content of what I'm saying remains the same.
