I agree that he's played some good games for us. It's a little sad to see him go.

But it's time. And I don't think we'll be needing him to come back.

Arshavin said: “I hope here in Zenit I will receive everything I need to prepare for the 2012 European championships in the best possible way.

“I believe that it’s been the best possible decision for me — to return to my native town, to help my native club and myself.

“Zenit made me the right offer at the right time as I was having certain problems at Arsenal with too little match practice.”

“It was unlikely for me to join any other club as Zenit were the only side who made Arsenal and me a serious proposal.”

Andre, Andre...

..Man when you were good, you were great. At one point you had us all arguing about who should be the focal point behind the striker...you or Cesc.

I'm not ashamed to say I wanted you to play there and Cesc deeper.

I still wonder to this day how that would have gone.

I'm sorry Arsene played you out of position. People complained that you didn't defend, but would you ask Bergkamp or Messi to do that?

Arsene must've known what he was signing.

On the occasions you did play in your correct place you never failed us.

Even when you were left out for months, you always looked in shape on your return.

I will miss you and will never forget those great moments. That performance against Blackburn. Liverpool away. Utd away. We lost that one but you were magnificent.

Good luck in everything you do.

Thanks.

scratch Don't know about this part.

But I always had warm feelings toward Arshavin, a player capable of real magic. That game at Anfield was fantastic. Sometimes he looked lazy or unfit, but by accounts he was actually a very hard worker in training. An occasionally terrific player who just didn't quite materialize into what we all wanted him to be, and suspected he could have been. I think there are many, many reasons as to why. But I hope that whatever he does onto next will work out all right for him.

His goal celebration against Barca, where he lifted up his shirt to reveal a printed tee of himshelf going "shhhh," is still among my absolute favorite celebrations ever. I'll always like the lil guy.

I based that on his league cup appearences and his few sub games in the league this season.

He looked fitter than ever. Felt a bit sorry for him.

I will never forget how he saved our season when he signed him. That year would have been the worst season we have had during our entire trophy drought IMO in terms of quality, but his presence really got us over the line. I never understood the scapegoating. Still one of my favourites

Technically the best player at the club , maybe just behind carzola . He was involved in most of the best moments i've experienced as an arsenal fan in the last few years . I think it is a stain on wengers managerial record that he wasnt able to get the best out of arshavin who at one point was considered among the top 5 players in europe .

I wish him all the best in his future endeavours . A player who will remain in Arsenal fan folklore history .

Yeah, that is one of the stains on Wenger's career. Such a talented footballer, Wenger just didn't use him in the right ways.

I'm sorry for him because he deserved more. He could have been considered so highly by many others in the world if Wenger just used him correctly. Could have been one of the best in the PL. Sad
