Re: NFL Thread
That Ravens miss at the end of the game was so unexpected. I was all prepared for OT.
The Giants game featured a lot of good defense. Never watched a super bowl before. Pretty excited, ha.

Yeah, and also that drop by Lee Evans really hurt the Ravens, I thought he had that.
And if this is your 1st SuperBowl you should watch a replay of the 2008 Superbowl between the Patriots and the Giants(I think they will show it on NFL Network). One of the best SB's in recent memory.
Or at the very least watch the GW drive:
Edit: What a disgrace Joe Buck is. That dude could take the excitement out of any moment, I swear. On that legendary Tyree catch, the guy had no emotion. "Manning....stays on his feet. Throws it down the field, and it is... caught. By Tyree." Dude made the Super Bowl sound like the National Spelling Bee ffs

Re: NFL Thread
You know Joe Buck has legit beef with the Manning Clan. I don't know if it's been squashed.

Re: NFL Thread
Thanks for the link dmize. Knowing the outcome of the game before watching the clip definitely affects the excitement a bit. However, it looked awesome; not that I'm supporting one team over the other.
I honestly have hated American Football for the longest time. I think it's because I always thought there were too many stops (Still think there are) and that it was just a bunch of guys hitting each other.
I've followed the Redskins all season since my family who I'm living with currently are lifelong Redskins supporters.
Can't wait for the final now, haha.

lol dmize, true. But as a Pats fan, I was thankful for that because the shit was stressful enough without someone actually doing their job right and amplifying our misfortune.

Re: NFL Thread
This should be a great matchup. At first I wasn't so excited, but it definitely should be good.
The thing about the Pats is that they won without Tom Brady having a great game at all. Obviously against the Giants he can't play the same way though. Eli has been awesome. To have 58 attempts against the San Fran Defense and not turn the ball over once, was a pretty awesome feat.
And I think this is one of the first times I can remember where we have a SB with two teams who don't have a top Defense. Although the Giants' D, especially their pash rush, has been great recently. And the Patriots D has been surprising. They lost quite a few guys to injuries, but relatively unknowns have stepped up in, Ninkovich, Ihedigbo, Moore, etc.
I'm hoping for more offense in this SB compared to 08.

Still GOAT
This beast is 34 mind you, that's 4-6 good years in the tank. We have 2 first rounders and second rounders next year + 25 million extra cap space. Watch out, the Patriots aren't a dying dynasty.

Re: NFL Thread
And before anyone says Brady fell off or lost his clutch/magic. He was completely let down by Welker, a catch that would have sealed the game. And by Hernandez twice. Granted, that interception was stupid on many many levels. But I still think he can prove he's GOAT before they retire his number.

Nah, tonight eliminated him from that discussion. GOAT's don't lose 2 SB's to lesser QB's.

Re: NFL Thread
Refer to my comment where I explain that Brady still has fuel in the tank.
Manning is pretty damn clutch himself.
I could go off naming Brady stats but it's 5 30 AM where I'm at and I just watched my Pats lose to the Giants in the Super Bowl again. So good night.

Feel so utterly depressed for Robert Kraft. Anyone see him after the final siren.....you would think his team would step up for him after all he has been through
His team should of had this in the bag and they just shot themselves in the foot.

Re: NFL Thread
Congrats to the Giants. I managed to watch near the full game.
My second time watching a full game since last Superbowl (PACKERS FTW).
I was rooting for them, partly because what I watched of them I liked, and partly because I wanted the team that beat the packers to go on and win and make us look not quite as bad
Decently entertaining game. For gridiron
Does not compare in any shape or form to the Man U - Chelsea game but, ya know, for a sport I don't like much, it was alright!
Packers get your defense...halfway decent, I'll get our popcorn ready, and win the next Superbowl.

Re: NFL Thread
I'm quite sure a 100% Gronk goes and catches the ball on that last play.
And that Deion Branch play right before the end looked like a catch to me.

Re: NFL Thread
I feel terrible for Brady. His go-to-guy was running on one leg, and his best receiver dropped a 20+ yard pass that couldve won the game. He had to rely on Hernandez, whose good, but Welker had a good game but dropped thatball when it mattered and Gronk was invisible. 100% Gronk and the Patriots wouldve won that game. Branch also didnt do enough, and Ocho shouldve gotten more time on the field. Still though, Brady outclassed Eli.
As a 49ers fan my whole life, I say congrats to the Giants and their fans, but damn, they got alot of luck. Icing the cowboys kicker actually working, aaron rodgers having his worst game in years, the niners second string kick returner *bleep* up twice to basically give the giants the game, and then welker missing a catch that hed normally make 99 times out of 100. Not to mention the best tight end in the league being hurt against them. Giants are a great team, but I have to say that they got alot of luck along the way.
