Chad wrote:Matt Barkley 4 Heisman! Luck Who?
Matt Barkley is playing with Robert Woods, Marqise Lee, Randall Telfer. Andrew Luck has 2 slow TE's to throw to. With that said I think Barkleys the next best QB in the draft. Robert Griffin's probably third.

Re: NFL Thread
I can't believe the Jets actually EXTENDED Brian Schottenheimers contract. I'm convinced these owners don't care about winning. They did it in secret before the season. The worst part we could fire him and we already have 2 competent replacements on the staff in Tom Moore(O coordinator for the great Colts passing offenses 02-07) or Bill Callahan(was OC w/ the Raiders when they had Gannon at QB, put up big #'s). What a mess.
And as much as I(the media too) rip on Sanchez, he's not terrible and I really want to see how he does under a different coordinator(and not having his receivers changed every season might help too). Saw a stat today comparing Sanchez to similar young quarterbacks in the league.
NFL Ranking TD Int Rating
Matthew Stafford, QB 26 13 90.7
Matt Ryan, QB ATL 18 10 89.3
Mark Sanchez, QB 18 11 80.9
Joe Flacco, QB BAL 13 8 78.9
Josh Freeman, QB 12 16 74.6
Sam Bradford, QB 6 5 72.3
Really not all that bad, but he really needs to improve his overall completion percentage. I guess what I'm saying is I'm not ready to give up on him, but I really wish we had a new OC.

Re: NFL Thread
Damn, Tebow did it again. I think Chicago's D will end his run next week but Denver will take that division. It's going to be a good battle for WC w/ Oak, Ten, Cincy, and the (sigh)Jets.
and at Dan Orlovsky going 30/37 350 yards against the Pats secondary. Jets should trade for him.

Packers still beasting it!
Despite my carelessness and general negative attitude toward the NFL, the packers are making me proud to be a Wisconsinite! Hope everybody takes notice
Although we have such a good offense, I have to be honest, I don't know exactly if we can win the superbowl with such an average defense. We are way too dependent on Aaron Rodgers, and if he has a bad game (good thing he really hasn't lol) then it could be a very easy loss for the Packers.

Re: NFL Thread
So, in my time off and in addition to my move to the States, I've sort of started following the NFL.
Since my family here are lifelong Redskins supporters, I've been following them the most since the season started.
Tbh, I never envisioned the day I'd like this sport, but I've definitely taken a liking to it.

Not gonna lie, I'm not the biggest Tebow fan in the world (being a Miami Hurricane fan) but I do like him. BUT the amount of time ESPN spends on talking about Tebow is sooooooooo beyond ridiculous!

Yes it is. But with that said, I'm hoping for 1 more Tebow win against the Pats.
And speaking of the 'Canes, I saw a stat where a Miami Hurricane scored a TD in the NFL for 149 straight weeks. Unfortunately it ended but that was a crazy stat I thought.

Re: NFL Thread
I do think its hilarious that people keep doubting him but yet somehow he just keeps winning. It would be funny to see him beat the Pats. I live in IL and there were a lot of angry Bears fans last week.
Sounds about right, heck it seems like yesterday that they were getting first round draft picks by the boat loads. I am still awaiting the NCAA's verdict on what they are going to impose on us from the whole Nevin Shapiro fiasco, probably something similar to USC's. But on the bright side Golden signed an extension and will still be on board and can hopefully get the program back in a positive direction, losing a lot of seniors off this team as well as some who are going to declare for the draft

Re: NFL Thread
Yeah, the Miami/Shapiro stuff was bad, but I think a lot of people have forgotten about it quickly with the Penn State and Syracuse situation going on, which is much worse. The Canes will be fine eventually, I would guess they'll miss a couple postseasons along with some other penalties though.

Yeah I think so to. We desperately need solid QB's coming in cuz a lot of our problems started with the QB. But hopefully they can get some good recruits in there and be back in contention for titles
