Nasri can talk about Arsenal all he wants, but the fact of the matter is this. He was in a final for a trophy with us and he was invisible. I don't remember him doing ANYTHING in that game. He contributed about 2 months worth of performance throughout the entire time he was here and did little else.

But that's the kind of player he is. Happy to celebrate other people's achievements while adding very little to said achievement

I wouldn't say he added "very little", Lex.

He played a good part in their campaign.

Others influenced City's season far, far more. Nasri was a bit part player who managed to get game time because Silva was injured

Fabregas won a few trophies: UEFA supercup, Spanish supercup and Club World Cup. More than he had won at Arsenal or would have if he stayed.

But if Arsenal actually sign a couple of the players they're linked to, they have a chance to make a run next year. If they have another lol summer (like losing RVP), then it's back to the drawing board.

I don't know why this bench warmer is having a dig for. He was one of the biggest flops of last season.

The mercenary, classless, overrated turd.

I actually thought one of the big reasons City finished so well is that they had Nasri start all last 9 games and Tevez the last 6. They lacked flow from defense to attack and it was forcing Aguero to come too far back to get the ball. It also made it easy to defend SIlva. With Nasri and Tevz to help in the buildup, City suddenly got their edge again.

I think he ended up leading the team in key passes for the season. It's between him and Silva in any case. SIlva ended up first in assists with 15 in EPL and Nasri second with 9 at CIty.

He put up some pretty good stats to be honest.

2,5 key passes per game, 92 % pass completion 5 goals 9 assists.....basically what you'd expect from an attacking midfielder.

He was good for the last few games I saw, probably not an indication of the entire season but whatever.

Nasri's days are numbered at City. :coffee:

Spurs could make a good use of him when Modric leaves, Gallas and Nasri will make up and with Ade they will be a force. Very Happy

Lex... he was 18 or something when he won trophies at Arsenal and wasn't even playing. It's waaaay in past.

Arsenal was so far behind CIty and United in the EPL race that i doubt Nasri would have made the gap. He's far better than Gervinho obviously. Nasri is not that kind of difference maker. He's much better when he's allowed to just play in the flow.

The laws of gravity were set waaaaay in the past, too. Doesn't mean they're not relevant today. Funny that you mention him not playing in those Arsenal trophy games, but how hard did he work for those trophies at Barca? He arrived there when they were already in the final for most of them Laughing

Like i said before. Nasri was in a final for a trophy with Arsenal and he was absolutely dross for the whole game. He offers zero to the team after a certain point, so he looks to jump to a team who can take up the slack he's supposed to be taking care of. He's the epitome of cut-corners-and-get-successful-quickly. I truly hope someone punches him in the face

He's making Adebayor look like class lol.

Maybe if he wasn't that shit in the Carling Cup final we would won the f*cking cup. Or if he wasn't a second-half season flop we would win the f*cking league.

Watch Man City replacing him this season with someone way better than him.

Nasri's minutes on the field last year: 2390
Nasri's minutes on the field this year: 2264

A tough choice, another 126 more minutes on the field or a winners medal Neutral
At some point you are just going to have to accept that he made the right choice and get over it

Im not even sure what to say about the "benchwarmer" nonsense..

Is it entirely butthurt/bitterness or are people really just ignorant of what actually happened?

It's definitely not "ignorant". He started games when the likes of Silva and Yaya were injured.

The exact same reason why Cesc started most of the games he played for Barcelona.

It's like saying Bendtner wasn't a benchwarmer when van Persie was injured the whole time, he was still a benchwarmer when all were fit.

Thats bullsh*t, though...

He started almost every single game in the title run up, the most important part of the freaking year....and neither Yaya nor Silva were injured

Man City 3-2 QPR (started)
Man City 2-0 Newcastle (started)
Man City 1-0 Man Utd (started)
Man City 2-0 Wolves (started)
Man City 6-1 Norwich (started) (yaya subbed on 62nd min)
Man City 4-0 West Brom (started)
Man City 0-1 Arsenal (started) (silva out) (yaya off 16min)
Man City 3-3 Sunderland (didn't start)
Man City 1-1 Stoke (started)
Man City 2-1 Chelsea (started)
Man City 0-1 Swansea (started)
Man City 2-0 Bolton (started) (silva out)

Literally started every game in the title run-up from March-May except ONE..."benchwarmer" Rolling Eyes
