Re: Arsenal Lobby
@Nanas08: Congratulation to my mate @cesc4official i will miss you world class player and top men
Why congratualtions? Does he consider leaving Arsenal some form of acheivement?
He's not covering himself in glory, is he?

He's just shooting himself in his own foot. Not the time to congratulate Cesc on twitter, nor the time to complain. He should be signing his damn contract before talking so much and expecting some love from the fans. He continues to chip away at the respect I once had for him.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
I'm willing to ignore him congratulating Cesc, because he might just be honestly happy for the guy and meant nothing sinister behind it.
The tweet about fans disrespecting him, though...
I'm all for freedom of speech, but when you've got thousands of angry fans on your back on a daily basis you're probably better off keeping your mouth shut.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Why the hell "congratulations"? That's completely the wrong word to use.
I would have expected "good luck" or "farewell".
Congrats would be in order if he were a father, scored some sweet goal, got married, signed a contract extension....

Our kid brigade will do well, don't worry. If they don't we can always curse Song more anyway.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
The Football Association has released the following statement:
Newcastle United and Arsenal have been charged by The FA with failing to control their players following Saturday’s (13 August) fixture at St James’ Park.
Both clubs have been charged following a mass confrontation of players following an incident in which Arsenal’s Gervinho was also shown a red card in the 75th minute.
Following Gervinho’s dismissal Arsenal have today lodged a claim that the standard punishment of a three-match suspension is clearly excessive. A regulatory Commission will hear that claim on 16 August.
Meanwhile Arsenal’s Alex Song has been charged separately by The FA with violent conduct following an incident earlier in the same fixture.
Both clubs have until 4pm on 18 August to respond to the charge, whilst Song must reply by 6pm on 16 August.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Deserved suspension. I don't want to see that from any player, let alone our own.
I hope Wenger is angry with him. The guy got himself suspended for two very important games coming up.
We'll be going up against two very intelligent strikers in Suarez and Rooney. Frimpong will probably have a tough time.

I changed that for you. While Gervinho's reaction I can understand, Song - No Way. Barton hounds him, fall down, and this guy turns around and stamps. Wtf.

Also read that both VanPersie and Walcott are into the second last year of their contract and have yet not offered new deals. Is this true surely wenger wont want another Nasri situation on his hands next year?

Umm.. is it only me or is Frimpong >>>> Djourou at DM? I might be more biased because Djourou couldn't make a pass ffs when Walcott could've buried it in that final counter which shoud've seen us steal a 1-0 at SJP.

It's not just you, since the last time Djourou played in midfield was in the 06/07 season when he was on loan at Birmingham.
Rather use Frimpong.

And yet we have a bunch here who want to use Djourou, merely because Frimpong is "young/inexperienced"

We also have a bunch here who think Djourou isn't a centre back and that his natural position is in midfield.

If preseason is anything to go by, I think he has got it in him..
