Didn't he already sign a 8,5 year contract. Absolute shambles

thank god, Ten Hawg has said that Lisandro's injury isn't an achilles as feared, not sure what it is yet so he could still be out the season
we're really ending the last quarter with the old Maguire - Lindelof though, I pray Varane is back after the Forest game
we've been running these players into the ground with our insane schedule was bound to happen

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Martinez confirmed out for the season with a maetatarsal fracture and Varane will be out for a few weeks
this could genuinely end up being a nightmare season, there's no way we beat Sevilla next week (and even if we do we wont win the EL) and I am very very doubtful about top 4 now, need Spurs and Brighton to drop points while we dont lose to them

Sevilla can't even beat their fellow relegation rivals. Of course you'll beat them.

Newcastle and Spurs both lost today, fucking lovely stuff
watch us drop points to Forest tomorrow
Chelsea dominated by Brighton - have won only 4 of their last 22 PL games apparently, kinda wild
worst Chelsea team in 20 years?

3-0 for Man City already. Looks like it's going to be predictably dominant.
This is the most impressive Brighton side they have probably ever had, to be fair lol. Kaoru Mitoma is arguably the most talented dribbler in the world right now. I really wonder where he'll end up next season.

Man I can't see city losing a single match at this point. We really just have to hope for something at Etihad and win the rest.

Haaland again unbelivably clinical... he just makes scoring look easy at times n does it so fast, no oppositions can even react
Cant believe hes prolly gonna break the records in his first season already...

I actually hope they take Haaland off. He looks like he's trying to conserve energy already, and they're leading 3-0. Might as well let Julian Alvarez get some time on the pitch. Firenze may complain about United's congested schedule, but City are still competing in the FA cup, the Champions League and the league.

He's been very good recently, but his consistency since the start of the season has been rather hot and cold. It wasn't that long ago that he was widely criticized for hogging the ball and not being productive.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
The congested schedule isn’t unique to Man United, was my point
Arsenal don’t have a ton of depth either. They’ve also suffered from injuries to key players.
Congrats on winning the Bacalao cup!

You’re right. You’ve racked up the most injuries and the bartomeu cup this season. That’s technically a double

Arsenal are more than good enough this season to win the league, but it's simple stuff such as not killing off a game and keeping your foot on the pedal and keeping the in-game momentum going that will cost you when going up against City. You think they would have learned from last week. You think the big possibility of the title being decided on GD would make them more hungry for more goals. But no, they rather get arrogant and casual and then create mistakes and let the other team back into the game.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
it's disappointing because you want to go win it whenever you are in such a position which we put ourselves in, but i guess this is where we as Arsenal fans need to keep pespective in that this was never the goal from the start of the season and we exceeded expectations all season long. Youngest squad in the league, no winning experience outside of Jesus (who has done his part and scored in every game since being back) and Zinchenko.
Pressure also getting to Arteta, his subs in the last two games have all been mind-boggling. You don't take off Jesus (the player with the winning mentality) if you need to score a goal. Terrible decisions.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Whatever happens, Arsenal overachieved massively, no one expected such an incredible performance over a season.
Compared to City, even at this point they are ahead, so they have done more with a lot less at their disposal.
With a bit more depth Arsenal would have come out on top. Maybe they will eventually, I will certainly be rooting for them.

Who at the beginning of season would have predicted Arsenal, ManU, Newcastle to be in top 4, other than Firenze?
I think all 3 deserve credit regardless if City takes first.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Man United needed a quality defensive midfielder and they got one + a quality CB, so I don't think it was surprising that they managed to drag themselves up from the god awful 6th place they had last season. The downfall of Liverpool helped as well. They even managed to offload CR7 AND Pogba, finally
As much hate as Ole gets, they were 2nd in his last season and runners up in the Europe League with a comparably shitty squad.
Newcastle was somewhat surprising, but I think it was only a matter of time for them since they became a sheikh-owned club. Me and my friends predicted that it would happen a few years ago, and I think I read the same prediction on here. We just didn't know exactly when.
Arsenal have quality players and they've always been my favorite club in England, but I don't trust their willingness, or lack thereof, to spend on the necessary reinforcements to sustainably compete for the league title. I really hope I'm wrong, but I can't help but expect that they'll lose one or more key players and fail to properly replace them by the time they're about to hit their peak. It's been a never-ending cycle for them since the Invincibles season.
It's impressive that they're performing so well with such a young squad, but I'm curious about Partey's sustainable performance level as he enters his 30s, and whether or not they manage to retain their younger stars while also adding more depth to the squad.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Seems more likely that they will, with how poor Tottenham are this season. Newcastle are 3 points ahead with 1 game in hand. 8 games left of the season, though. I suppose anything can happen.
