Not gonna lie, this is shaping up to be a proper rivalry, both on and off the field.

Let's see how this turns out though the young lad does seem to be really prefer Madrid.

He should come to Madrid frankly... unless they hand you the keys to the city (and country in Mbappe's case), you choose Madrid.

Just worried about how that works with Casemiro selfishly. Knowing Carlo, he may never play lol.

I'm not even a little bit familiar with him, but I hope he comes good if the deal goes through. Are there anyone on here who knows what his outstanding qualities are?

Tackling, 1 vs 1 defending, long/diagonal passes (Camavinga-level, not Xabi Alonso), aerial duels...that's it I guess? I'm not a tactical expert so I'm obviously missing a lot of the small things he does right/wrong. But these are the qualities that you first notice when you watch him play.

Took me 10 minutes to know that Maignan would be the best goalie in Serie A when he joined. Let’s see if I can do it in less minutes for Tchouameni…

Don’t forget the interceptions. That seems to be his best trait statistically.

I hope Carlo has learned from his flaws and gives more playing time to our younger players.

Camavinga and Rodrygo have been immense off the bench. Vallejo and Ceballos have put in good shifts too.

I finally hope to see this change next season, but I have doubts. If Tchouameni signs, I hope Carlo gives him proper playing time

Anyway, might have jump the gun on this one. Reportedly Pool will push harder () after the CL final. PSG are not out and will increase their offer (although there is rumors that PSG have to include a fee for Mbappe) and there's Real who reportedly don't want to pay 80m and are trying to bring it down

I honestly don't see Monaco asking less than 80. They know we have funds at the moment

So according to several sources this morning, Madrid still hasn't reached an agreement with Monaco for Tchouameni. They claim Liverpool and PSG are still in the mix. They also claim that PSG is willing to pay €100m for him while Madrid is refusing to meet the €80m asking price.

They also claim that the player wants Madrid but Monaco is stalling the deal because they want to sell only to the highest bidder (aka PSG).
Of course these are all speculations and we can't know for sure if any of it is true.

Mbappe bitchslapping Madrid by first using them to get a better contract from PSG and then days later stealing their primary transfer target from under their noses would be too hilarious and sad at the same time.

The only way to do so is to impose an annual transfer budget limit as well as a cap on total wage bill. I don't wanna hear any crap about how EU regulations wouldn't allow for this, UEFA has the authority to impose rules for participation in its tournaments.

But then when you see how embedded guys like Nasser are into UEFA's executive structure, you just know that no change is coming.

This may not be a good thing for you. Getting stomped by PSG may force Madrid to go after some of your free/affordable targets

Time to accept we both won't beat Oil until some systemic change is done. I dont rate Tchou that high but getting Mbappe would mean decade of dominance for RM for sure. Both these players are not Barca type, you targets are usually way different.

The transfer is stalling because PSG is now in the mix and Monaco clearly likes what they are offering.

Knowing Perez, he will never be bullied into paying more than what he thinks a player is worth.

If Monaco wants €80m+ for Tchouameni, I think we all know where he's going to be playing next season.

I just thought that the player had a say in it (Like Bale for instance when United offered Spurs more than Madrid but they ended up selling him to Madrid nevertheless).

This of course assuming he wants Madrid. We could also be wrong about that.
