Very unique fight so far as these two are genuinely special. The mentality on display here along with the exchange of styles is beautiful to watch. Not to mention hearing the strikes is far better than hearing an audience.

Tony just is not used to someone as streamlined as JG who returns his pressure this clean. I've never seen him in this situation. Fight is not ending for Tony as a win unless he KOs him.

This was a Hall of Fame worthy performance

Holy shit that was clean.

Ferguson should have been knocked down 10 times at least. Kudos to him for sticking in there as long as he did.

But damn... that was dominant.

Tony would have been able to take 50 more punches knowing him but I agree with the stoppage because this is the type of fight to which would and will shorten the career of Ferguson.

There is no doubt Tony is not a normal human being and being at his age with his conditioning is just something special.

One of the most entertaining fighters out there and my reverence for him remains.

Why? The performance from JG was so perfect I admit I was wrong given he is far smarter now than what I remember in what used to be a rather unsustainable style.

Tony's legs just gave in at the end and he did not used all at his arsenal well enough along with not being able to penetrate the better fighter tonight.

Plus the neglect of defence caught him and he failed to capitalise in what were some weaknesses by JG in his defence.

Great fight and event and once again thanks for the stream Freeza.

Ferguson will come back. He's a beast. He may have to fight Connor first though.

I don't understand why he didn't go for grappling when he was getting killed form the outside.

Because Gaethje is a better wrestler than him and has great take down defense.

Ferguson was just exposed. He’s never fought anyone close to Gaethje’s level and he’s taken too much damage throughout his career.

I have 4 LWs comfortably better than him.

Before this fight i would disagree with Freeza's statement but truth is Ferguson hasn't actually really faced any true top opposition.

He is as good as he is hyped to be and is a true fighter from top to bottom but a lot of his hype also comes form his unorthodox training methods, unorthodox fighting and just what he is.

But anyone who does MMA or is a fighter will know that Chinese Gung-Fu shit or any of the unnecessary manoeuvres does not cut it in MMA let alone against top opposition.

In a re-match he would fare better but truth is JG was just having none of his style pressure against him and kept it simple and strategically was far better, rather than Tony using his face as a guard.

Yeah but I mean he was getting killed. At some point, you need to adjust to something else.

Ferguson had longer arms and better reach... but his punches seemed long and slow. He got crushed with a counter every time he threw.

He needed to break the rhythm of the fight somehow.

I remember that looool.  Rogan even said it "Did they just tell him to throw sand?  Like the Bruce Lee movie??"

Kabib would have crushed Ferguson too btw.

Gaethje v Kabib will be a great fight... although Kabib is on a whole different level than Ferguson.

Overeem's chin really made a huge comeback this weekend. Proud of it.

Sad for Walt Harris he couldn't pull off a win after his absolute tragic year.

Usman will murder Masvidal for five straight rounds.

Also think Aldo can win if he starts with his leg kicks again. But I doubt he’ll do it. UD for Yan.

And Holloway will win tonight. That pick is all hope from my side
