@Glory Werner Herzog is basically another Malick, in that most of his films split audiences. Looking at that trailer though, I'm not surprised that it might flop. Does not look like much is happening in that one.
Yea I get the Mallick comparison. When it comes to Herzog, I have only watched his older movies. Stroszek, Aguierre and Fitzcarraldo.
When I check his filmography I see a bunch of ones in them which I havent even heard that he made post 82. So may be he stalled or regressed, lol.
The only names I have heard in them later ones, are Grizzly man and Lo and Behold, which arent even films, and are in fact documentaries which I suppose have got rave reviews? Seen them? (If I recall correctly, I take you as someone who watches docus, amirite?)

Look at that cast though...Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bernthal, Meryl Streep, Jon Hamm

I watch docus every now and then, yes. But I have not seen any of his.
To be honest though, I have seen very few of Herzog's films. I just know about his general reputation amongst film fans. Of his films I've only seen Bad Lieutenant and Signs of Life, in fact.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Saying Mallick is shit is highly miscued as his films clearly are not for everyone and are difficult to watch at times but he has proven himself far too many times to be called that. Visionary for me even if self-indulgent.
He has a difficult relationship with Bale even though he reveres him and will continue working with him but Bale is one who is difficult to direct given he is so deep within his roles and has a complex process in getting into them hence why I imagine the cut.
Yet cutting Bale out of the film is like playing without Messi in a crucial game even if Fassbender or Gosling are in there, while good, are nowhere near Bale in talent or technique.
Late to the party but Lord of the Rings trilogy agreed is by far the best trilogy of all time and nothing else even comes close nor do I think ever will. Peak filmmaking. Will never get over that series.

Logan
Great flick, but I got the distinct feeling that Marvel were just letting f-bkmbs fly just for the sake of it. Took away from some of the dialogue for me.

Definitely had that feeling too. And that random girl flashing tits at the limo felt like they just had to add in nudity with the R rating.

I never noticed any f'bombs tbh. I only notice when they're not their, because they use words like 'what the heck' 'what the darn'

I get the feeling Eddie and Susannah will be omitted from this rendition of TDT @McLewis

Yeah probably. It's a continuation of the story so that makes sense to me. Eddie shouldn't be there, but Susannah could potentially.
Great poster though. Really intrigued to see what this trailer looks like.
