and it actually has a plot that will make it a decent popcorn movie IMO, can see it being pretty good..it's nothing super ambitious or convoluted story wise like Ass Creed

he's been in a lot of good to very good movies and given the right types of roles is legit imo

won't be getting best actor oscar any time soon obviously but he's far from bad

It has no business in being turned into a film tbh.

my posts in the ME thread were based on multiple hours of watching a story heavy game you watched a couple trailers of the division and wrote it off as Ubi jank, I'm not even passionate about it like I said it's a solid 7.5 one week of gameplay type thing, but I know what I'm talking about. It's a game perfectly suited to being some bombastic hollywood action thriller. It doesn't have much of a unique identity or beloved characters that people will criticize the movie for ruining etc.

Uncharted should theoretically translate into a fun movie because like Mole said, it's essentially Indiana Jones in modern day, problem is the characters in Uncharted MAKE the game and are iconic, so there's no way a movie will be able to recreate them to the point of satisfying passionate fans.

Even though I think Wahlberg and JK Simmons would make a good Nate and Sully, Statham would make a good Cutter etc, I think if/when it finally gets made it won't be TERRIBLE, but probably won't be great

Is the division and Splinter Cell even eligible to be called video game movies?

Thought the games were already based on something else.

Marky Mark has been in some of my favorite movies. The Other Guys is among the all time great comedies.

Nocturnal Animals, he was great throughout. The film certainly didnt live up to the hype. But still was very good.  

I agree tho, he is acting in too many mediocre movies of late.
