it depends on who plays

Evra has been used on 4 men in the back formation
Sandro has been used as LW of 3-5-2

Cuadrado has been used on hybrid 4-3-3 and I suppose the same will happen with Pjaca

He is a solid mid , a bit slow but a good passer and strong physically.

I would buy for 24 mln € if we cannot bring one of Arda Turan / Rakitic / Mascherano.

We need some physicality, and a player who is not prone to injuries

As it stands right now 2/3rds of our midfield is injury prone. And obviously one of them I.E Marchisio isn't even available until around November-Jan

This is something really important in football

You want to keep opponents busy marking your players they dont necessary need to always be heros of the game but they keep them busy

Guys like higuain, dybala is what keeps opponents busy

Even if they dont score a goal, their presence mean too much

When you have your opponent insecure and defensive minded you have more space on the deep, there will be less pressure and guys like pjanic, can decide a game with a free kick, long ball or whatsoever

But first thing you want is to press your opponent to park the bus , so it can rarely risk

This is the reason why it is difficult to beat the ones like bayern, barcelona because they force you to park rhe bus and that means game over, unless you are super lucky which doesnt happen too often ,

You dont want to do that, you want to fear opponent to back off

So you guys want to play a 352 when you only have one CM worthy of a top club? Not sure how Pjanic and Dybala are going to play together tbh... they play the same position. Pjanic is absolutely horrible on defense so I hope the idea isn't to play him in Pogba's spot. Evra should ask for a raise if that happens lol. Madrid have a long recent history of trying to force 10/AM player into a CM role... Ozil, Isco and James. All 3 have failed.

Wtf is this, Pjanic's best position is not AM or 10.

What are we going to do? Play a formation with wingers, absolutely destroying one of Dybala-Higuain or a 4-3-1-2, meaning we ruin the back 3 system we've been perfecting for half a decade and bench a World Class CB.

Pjanic can play AM or DLP. On paper he replaces Pogba, but of course he won't have the same tasks.

I don't expect him to struggle to adopt our system, even less so having problems with Dybala hmm

The real concern is Marchisio/Khedira who are injury prone. Sturaro and Lemina are too raw to cover up if Khedira misses a lot of games (CM8 out until december-january). That's why Matic, Witsel or basically anyone who is at least decent all-around would be welcome. I'm not usually a big fan of Matuidi since i found his play unesthetic but could be an option too.

Yes, a 4 man back line is definitely what the squad is built for.

I hate the 3-5-2 more than anyone but this squad has been made for it for the last 5 seasons... It's not even debatable now. Once Benatia was signed it sealed it for this season at the very least.

Yes. How we reshuffle our midfield options and what kind of quality we'll bring in once Pogba leaves is critical for our objectives for next season.

One DM should be a certainty. Desperately hoping its Matic.
