“We have no new injuries. Olivier Giroud has a test today to see if he could be involved. He had a good training session yesterday.

“Aaron is still struggling with his hamstring, I don’t think he will be available for Basel or Burnley…before the break he won’t be available.

“It’s always difficult to pick my team because everybody is doing well. It’s positive. We have a balanced matured squad and competition in every position.

Going into more detail on Giroud and Ramsey, he added: “He [Giroud] is a little bit [ahead of schedule], we’ll see how he comes out of today’s training session.

“We had a few disappointments [with Ramsey], he was close to joining in again. He’s not far, but we have to be careful

“I’m not really concerned. It’s nothing major, I’m a bit more cautious than I would be. If he was ready to play I’d involve him in the squad.

“He has a small grade one hamstring, but he’s not completely free in his mind to push completely. We stop him every time he has a little pain. He’s in the last, last, last days of his rehab. While he’s not completely comfortable we don’t push him.”

Jenkinson back in full training.

Another option is good I suppose. Think we might loan him or Debuchy in Jan. Or both.

Give Jenko Debuchy's spot. Ship Debuchy out.

Same levels at the moment fwiw. At least Jenko is younger and on lower wages.

Francis Coquelin expected to only be out for three weeks after a positive scan.

Giroud is suspended for tomorrow and also a doubt for Burnley due to a toe injury. Might not be called up by France either.

No other new injuries from the Chelsea game. Ramsey still out.

Coquelin news is great. He'll likely only miss 2-3 games because of the international break, then he'll be right back to stealing Xhaka's thunder.

Unless Xhaka manages to estabilish himself. If he doesn't, then maybe returning to Coqzorla isn't a bad alternative.

I love Coquelin, that wasn't an insult directed at him, I'm actually glad he's earned a spot over Xhaka. Pushes every player to compete with their teammates.

Coquelin has a small chance of being back for Burnley. Will almost certainly be back after the international break.

Giroud out still.

Ramsey could be back after the break.

No other new injuries from Basel.

Why risk it. Xhaka - Santi should be more than adequate for Burnley

Bellerin received "a nasty tackle to the ankle" while playing against San Marino for Spain's U21s. Awaiting results of a scan.

Ramsey won't be back for another 2-3 weeks. It's really strange. But as long as he comes back fit.

Coquelin back though   What a warrior.

Giroud is not playing till November at this rate

Wenger said they're giving Ramsey a pre-season. I think he's actually recovered by this point but he needs to build-up proper fitness.

Giroud is sounding more and more like he's just been dropped rather than injured Laughing

I'd be tempted to start Perez in the next game because Sanchez had 2 absolute intense matches along with long journeys.

Risk of either injury or him playing like a liability when he isn't fit.

It's a new pitch made of specific materials in order to soften the impact on joints and muscles and therefore decrease the chances of injury hmm

Or more significantly, Arsenal are actively pursuing solutions to their injury problems.

Yeah, like the satellite fitness tracking stuff that Wenger ignores in favour of how the player tells him he is feeling? Wink

Wenger is Wenger. Can't blame the club for not trying, and Wenger would have had to approve this. Though I'm now awaiting stories of players' feet sinking and getting stuck.

No new injuries from the Swansea game. Ramsey and Giroud training on their own currently and aren't far off full fitness. Wenger typically coy on whether he'll rotate the team for tomorrow's game.
