Re: The Injury and Suspension Thread
Cristiano Ronaldo, Valdes and five more could miss the Clasico through suspension
A total of seven players from Barcelona and Real Madrid are just one booking away from a ban with just two matches left before the crunch clash at Camp Nou later this month
Cristiano Ronaldo, Victor Valdes and a host of other key players could miss this month's Clasico if they receive another yellow card before the game on April 21.
For Barcelona, Victor Valdes, Seydou Keita, Alexis Sanchez and Thiago Alcantara all have four bookings, and would incur a one-match ban if they receive another yellow card.
For Real Madrid, meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso and Fabio Coentrao are also on the threshold of a ban leading up to the decisive game at Camp Nou in 12 days time.
With both sides having to play two games beforehand, there is a chance for some players to clear their names before the potential league decider with a booking in the midweek fixtures coming up.
However, the league's competition committee is likely to be watching closely, after Madrid were punished last season in the Champions League with Alonso and Sergio Ramos deliberately getting themselves sent off in a 4-0 win against Ajax, following instructions from coach Jose Mourinho in order to miss their last group game.
Madrid travel across the capital to face Atletico on Wednesday, before hosting Sporting Gijon on Sunday, while Barca welcome Getafe on Tuesday and then travel to Valencia on Sunday to meet Levante.

I don't think it should be stickied. It might be me personally, but once a thread is stickied i stop noticing people post in it.

Re: The Injury and Suspension Thread
I don't think Villa is out for the season, is he? I think he can come back for the last few games.
Of our suspension, only Valdes would be really important.

Free you are correct. Villa should be back "by the last games and the EuroCup"

Re: The Injury and Suspension Thread
tbh, if Pinto doesn't lose us asgainst Real Madrid in Copa than he can't lose us the game against any other team in La Liga. Give him the nod for Levante, don't risk Valdes...
Also I would want Alexis for the Madrid game. I think he is our second top scorer and has played two brilliant games, heading into good form.

Re: The Injury and Suspension Thread
The big question is, will Dani and Piquenbauer be back in action for the games against Chelsea and the scum? Dani is looking good(ish) according to the FP, but does anyone know whether it is realistic to expect Gerard back on the field by then?

Both Pique and Alves have been training. Ive got a feeling that they might have to rush to play (more Alves than Pique) against Chelsea.

Re: The Injury and Suspension Thread
From our part:
Alonso is suspended for the Sporting Gijon game, Ramos served his suspension against Atletico Madrid
so the players that are at risk of getting suspended for the Clasico are:
DiMaria: got booked against Atletico, so he stands at 4 cards
Coentrao: got booked against Vallecano in late February, he stands at 4
C. Ronaldo: got carded against Zaragoza in the first game after Christams, he also stands at 4 cards
The rest either have very few cards, or their cards have been wiped over the last couple of games
No injuries to report either, all are healthy, Lass and Carvalho just came back from injuries so they wont participate against Sporting as they weren't called up

Pique will spend the night at the hospital, although preliminary testing has shown no serious injuries.

Better be safe than sorry. This guy is a big factor in our defense, no questiona about it even though he hasn't had the best of seasons. His height and the reading of the game is what we missing. I expect him to play on Sunday night

Xavi is out for 15 days. He has been carrying an injury on his left calf lately, of the last 8 games he only finished 6. Tests today confirmed that it is ruptured.
