The Arsenal Injury Thread
Just brought forward the Injury thread from the old forums. One of the most important threads for Arsenal community, considering our injury record.
Nothing much to report right now on this front, but I am hoping some body can update us on Fabianski's shoulder sometime!
(Didn't want to put that in the lobby and risk it falling out of attention!)

I'm still waiting for Wenger to sack ALL our medical staff. If we have another injury ravaged season I'm gonna be pissed.

@Spider: I had a feeling you would, but I couldn't wait till then to get a word on Fabianski.. So gave you due credit in the description.. Hope you don't mind it
The highlights thread and the prediction game thread also will be made in a couple of months I guess
@Sushi Master: Don't see any changes being touted mate.. That swanky satellite-based-player-tiredness-assessment-system-thingy was a pretty big step in this direction last season.. And we were to see its benefits by the end of the season time..

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Fabregas had a shit season, Walcott was injured a lot even in God form, Diaby... Diaby . Van Persie actually improved, I'll give you that. Djourou had a miracle recovery.
The whole Vermaelen saga shits all over any improvement, though. And constant injuries to Fabregas don't help, he's our key player.
The "we have little, weak players so it's ok to get injured" argument doesn't fly for me.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Actually I think this one of the best seasons for us regarding injuries. Yes we had Verm off for like a whole season and Fabi but still our key-players where there when it mattered.
Most important thing for us is to keep Fab and RVP ( especially him ) fit next season.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
For the entire season.. Thats the key.. As I said in the old forum, RvP is a 45-goals a season striker if he can stay fit..
We have had a few injuries this season, but how many of those, are fatigue related? Except Nasri pulling a hamstring in that match where he played in the Fabregas role, I don't think any other. In that way, that system has achieved its target of reducing fatigue-related injuries.
It would be interesting if the system could also give heads up with player burn-outs and give us a chance to rotate in advance to avoid a player from burning-out. Would really help the likes of Song, Wilshere and Chamakh to maintain their form through the season.

Another Arsenal ace exits England Under 21 squad as injured Gibbs follows Wilshere out
Kieran Gibbs has pulled out of the England Under 21 squad for this month's European Championship due to an ankle injury.
The Arsenal defender was due to travel to Denmark today but he aggravated the injury while playing in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Norway at Southampton.
England have chosen not to replace Gibbs so head coach Stuart Pearce will have only 22 players to choose from at the tournament, which starts on June 11.
No go: Arsenal left back Kieran Gibbs (left) is nursing an ankle injury and so will not travel to Denmark
The injury is so serious that the FA do not expect the defender to play any part in the tournament, which runs up until June 25.
The 21-year-old, who was vying for the left-back spot with Chelsea's Ryan Bertrand, will now stay in England with the injured ankle in a protective boot.
End of season: Jack Wilshere pulled out of the U21 European Championships but played for England last week

Pearce is confident his side will be able to cope without the Gunners defender.
'We have to deal with setbacks every now and again, but we are fortunate to have a squad and a staff with previous tournament experience,' Pearce said. 'It's unfortunate for Kieran, but he went for a scan yesterday and is in a medical boot.'
Protective: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger (left) insisted Wilshere was too tired to play this summer
Gibbs, who has played 15 times for the Under 21 team, is the fourth full international to be ruled out from Pearce's original 40-man squad.
Andy Carroll failed to recover from injury in time to make the final 23, Jack Wilshere's fears of burnout ruled him out of the championship and Micah Richards is missing thanks to a hamstring problem.
England take on Spain in their first group-stage game on Sunday before playing Ukraine and the Czech Republic the following week.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Gibbs is waayy to injury prone. This is a big concern for us, if we intend him to be Clichy's sucessor. We should have some other options developed, in case we have to sell an injury-prone Gibbs in the future. And quite honestly, there is a LOT of room for improvement for Gibbs.

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Classic Gibbs. Gets game time, gets injured.
I remember at one point last season Clichy got a game off, so gibbs played his first game in weeks, but got injured at 60 minutes. Eboue ended up playing LB and Sagna came on at RB.
