I have a feeling Wenger will panic and screw up both games. Wink

Aaron Rasmey out until the next international break, at least. Wenger: "With the [last] international break, the fact that he played against Andorra certainly cost Bale and him as well."

Ospina also out until the next international break.

Wilshere, Rosicky and Welbeck not back until the new year.

Such a lot of wonderful news there.

By the time these guys eventually make it back, I am sure Özil/Theo/Cazorla/Coquelin/.. will be injured by being overplayed across 4 competitions.

So much for having a squad with 2 players in each position.

Mertesacker returns from illness, but Arteta will not be fit to play tomorrow. Cech will be in goal.

No new injuries from the Everton game.

Wouldn't mind having Macey in goal, if Mertescielny play.

However, Cech with Chambers-Gabriel is probably better for squad rotation overall.

If the backline is Debuchy-Chambers-Gabriel-Gibbs, I do not see us keeping a clean sheet tomorrow. That said, it would be the ideal line-up to rest our yellow/red players. Would also start Flamini and give Coquelin a breather.

It's a shame that Arteta isn't fit to play. That means Cazorla would have to feature, given that all other options for that position are injured.

Front four pretty much picks itself, thanks to the injuries. Only possible change is Theo and Campbell starting instead of Giroud and Alexis, with Theo up front.

Özil would also have to start then?

My guess is Alex Iwobi will get a game, with Chamberlain maybe moving into midfield. I'd be surprised if Ozil or Alexis started.

I actually think we should recall Serge Gnabry from West Brom. He'd get more minutes with us at the moment than he would with them.

I agree on Gnabry.

Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of Iwobi too!

How I wish Danny and Rosicky were fit Sad

The top 20 most injured PL players(from 2K10) list compiled by Telegraph had 6 Arsenal players, the most from a single club.

Theo
Wilshere
Gibbs
Welbeck
Koscielny
Rosicky

And it also had Judas and if the list was compiled for players who played rather than playing in the PL,Diaby would've also been in the list.

Honestly don't understand whether it's medics or the training but this record is horrendous IMO.

Mostly, it's the mismanagement of player workload and failure to act on the warning signs. Players don't get injured because the medical team is poor - I've seen plenty say it's one of the best medical teams you could find in football - but because they don't get a chance to recover well enough.

Wenger suggested that playing for Wales against Andorra was the reason why Ramsey did his hamstring again, but if he knew he came back from international duty with a risk of injury, why did he play 90 minutes against Watford and then start against Bayern on top of that? Why wasn't he rested?

Walcott was thrown on against Sheff Wed without a warm-up. What were we thinking there?

Wenger has ZERO idea about muscular injuries - the ones which basically *bleep* us over season after season.

He was on the pitch warming up with everyone else just before kick-off. Ox got injured three minutes in. Theo was warmed up.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott to miss next three weeks.

Means we'll get them and Rambo back around the same time but also means we could face:

Bayern Munich (A)
Spurs (H) Nov 8

International break

West Brom (A) Nov 21

without any right sided players. Need Campbell or Iwobi to step up. Going by Wenger's comments, he sees one of them as the answer and not Gibbs on the left and Alexis on the right nor Belle on the right with Debuchy at RB.

I did a lot of sticking up for the guy, too, last year. Should pay me back. Laughing

In all seriousness, I hope he at least do a passable job. At least he's shown a willingness to work hard and help out his full-back, and with him being left footed and cutting inside he could dovetail nicely with Bellerin. Hopefully.

Not his primary job as an attacker. Would be glad to be proven wrong if he can step it up in the coming weeks a la Coq.
