Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Holding and now Bellerin
were these avoidable by managing players better between matches or their load at training sessions?
this was something we would hope to prevent post Wenger
I'm No expert but questions must be asked

Sokratis out until the end of February.
Koscielny could have a broken jaw.
It never ends, does it?

Sokratis is back in full training ahead of schedule.
XHAKA, Ozil and Aubameyang are in full training again as well.
Ramsey is a doubt for Thursday with alil bit transfer niggle knee injury.
Welbeck, Holding and Bellerin obviously out for the foreseeable future.
Since we don't have a PL game this weekend, I'm expecting a full strength* team against BATE.
* Three at the back with our best players on the bench, obviously.

September is still a while away. Same for Bellerin.
We will have to start the season with AMN at RB and Chambers at CB

It sucks, but can't take the risk with ACL injuries. They have to build their match fitness up and being defenders, it's hard to bring them on late in games or pull them off after 60 mins.
There's some big games to get through without them, though. Liverpool and United away, and Spurs at home.

Ozil and Kolasinac out of the Newcastle game due to "further security incidents".

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
I think Laca and Pepe will make the bench on Sunday at least. Ceballos wasn't mentioned in the update so I assume he's okay, too.
This situation with Kolasinac and Ozil is incredibly unfortunate, though.
As for Newcastle, I think the squad will be:
Leno - Maitland-Niles, Luiz, Sokratis, Monreal - XHAKA, Guendouzi - Mkhitaryan, Willock, Nelson - Aubameyang
Subs: Martinez, Mustafi, Chambers, Torreira, Ceballos, Pepe, Lacazette

what is this supposed to mean? It was a one time incident, and nothing happened to them.
Also, so we're stuck with AMN at RB until October we'll lose so much ground until we actually have a full fit team

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
The full Arsenal statement:
I'm just speculating, but it sounds like they've either received threats or, and I hope this isn't the case, another incident has taken place. Either way, something has happened recently to make the players and their families feel unsafe.
EDIT:
Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac will not be part of our squad for our opening match against Newcastle United following further security incidents which are being investigated by the police.
The welfare of our players and their families is always a top priority and we have taken this decision following a discussion with the players and their representatives.
We are liaising with the police and are providing the players and their families with ongoing support.
We look forward to welcoming the players back to the squad as soon as possible.
We will not be making any further comment on the matter.

EDIT:
Understand Ozil and Kolasinac are both safe and unharmed - but they have been targeted more than once, in separate incidents over the past couple of days.

Whenever I think of Mavropanos I keep getting flashes of Rosicky
I feel he will turn out good if only Injuries don't get the better of him.

Lacazette out until October with an ankle injury.
Could be the same injury he picked up in pre-season.
Time for Nelson to shine.

^^ yea it's the persistent ankle issue he's had this season. Hmm, i don't know about Nelson after seeing him so far this season. Hoping Martinelli also gets the opportunity in that left position.

Huge miss in terms of goals but yea it's a big chance for Nelson and Martinelli.
Won't be surprised if we see Ozil return though in the 11
