Surprised Bryan Cranston didn't win the Golden Globe ahead of Leo (:

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
Really don't like J-Law being cast in roles better suited for older actresses. That's a huge problem within film casting right now. That was largely what turned me off about "Joy". I thought the same with American Hustle. Got nothing against the actress herself, just the folks making these casting decisions.
Golden Globe and BAFTA are great for Leo, but he's been here before. It's the Oscar that counts now. I think he's finally gonna do it though. So much momentum, but it will be oh so juicy if he doesn't win. Very entertaining.
Some movies I watched over the weekend:
Ant-Man - Was a good movie about a hero I have simply never cared about or liked. Paul Rudd was really good. Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena weren't.
Creed - Simply a fantastic movie, but a clear reboot of the original, which was a bit disappointing to me. Symbolic changing the the guard so to speak. I expect sequels.
Jurassic World - Better than I expected. Bryce Dallas Howard's character was quite frankly ridiculous. I suppose it was meant to be empowering to see a female character run from dinosaurs in heels, but it just came off as offensive to me and I'm not even female. Enjoyed Chris Pratt's character, of course though. Really liked BD Wong's scenes. He's got a hint of sinister about him.
Spectre - Distinctly average and frankly too damn long. The biggest take away for me was what I learned about Blofeld. The rest simply didn't matter much. Batista was aces as the henchman though. And Bellucci was clearly the better Bond girl than Seydoux. Waltz was rather disappointing as well. Liked the theme song from Sam Smith, but it bothers me that the movie's name was not part of the lyrics.
Star Wars (this time in IMAX 3D) - Significantly better quality, as expected. I took more time to listen to the score, which is far better on 2nd viewing. Beyond that, I took nothing more away that I didn't the first time. Still don't like Adam Driver's performance. Just can't get behind his portrayal of Kylo Ren, try as I might.

Jennifer Lawrence is a huge c'unt... Her personality pisses me off so much. Last night she mocked a nervous foreign journalist with trouble remembering his question and she even misunderstood it. Her and David O. Russell are just awful.

I know hate is a strong word, but man I'm right at the edge of despising this thunderc**t.

Don't hate her whatsoever. Don't even know her.
Her best role for me was in Silver Lining's Playbook and the original Hunger Games. Everything else was average for me.

The last time a film had me in this sort of way was Short Term 12. Surprisingly also starring Brie Larson.

Can't wait. I really want to pay for it though. No option for me yet though... It's annoying. Gotta support my girl Brie ffs.
Gotta love Jennifer Lawrence getting all hype. Meanwhile Rooney Mara, Alicia Vikander and Brie Larson runs circles around her in talent.

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
lol I don't even know when Room comes out here. Didn't even bother waiting. But if I get the chance when it is out here I won't hesitate to drag someone along with me who hasn't seen it yet to go and pay and watch it again.
It's magical, hard and dark, but magical. Don't try and pick out things that may feel unrealistic in the screenplay, just let it do its job.
Oh yeah on J Law. Some of you may know I once really liked her, but f it I don't know if it's Freeza's constant slamming of her or when she started hanging out with Amy Schumer, but I slowly started not liking her that much for a while time now, and the way she treated that reporter last night was the last straw. Absolutely bitchy from her. They have everything in the world, and then they try to get extra attention by embarrassing and making a fellow human being look bad in front of the rest of the world.

Unsurprising
I know i've said this before in chat, but for those who don't, one of my friends saw JLaw in a restaurant in L.A. with his little sister (it was a high end restaurant), went to her table after she finished her food, asked her for a quick photo (his sister was with him). She signals at the end of the room and a security guy comes up and tells them off. His sister was crying so much after they went home. Really, couldn't belive when he told me. I got better gestures and positive vibes from Diego f*cking Costa and this bitch cant take a photo?

Re: The Movie House - Part 6
I agree completely with the consensus with Jennifer Lawrence here. Really hate her personality from the interviews I've seen. Seems like a grade A *bleep*.
re- Leo. He absolutely won the night. The amount of respect he got from his peers and Inarritu's amazing words for him and just all the cool spontaneous moments (that are now memorable gifs) and his fantastic well spoken speech. Living legend indeed. The top echelon of his generation and the biggest A-lister there is at the moment. I'm like a little fangirl of Leo's Just love everything about this man so much.
Gonna watch Room soon. Expecting it to be really *bleep* amazing.
My current top 5 for the year:
Spotlight
Sicario
The Revenant
The Hateful 8
Mad Max/Ex Machina
Think Room is gonna get in definitely

Would recommend.
