Inter value Kovacic at 30m, we put in an offer for 8m.

So even if Rodgers is identifying top end targets whoever controls our money, offers and negotiations is an absolute fking bellend. People are right, we're going to end up with Ings, Milner and Benteke probably call it a day.

I agree with Rodgers.

Ibe and Sterling are good enough to play constantly for us on both wings. Markovic and Lallana deserve atleast another year. This is basically spending 30m on the GK position, Mignolet on form is good enough we dont need a marquee player over there.

We never needed Depay, Why on earth would we pay 30m for a winger when we dont have a striker. Its not like we are cash strapped to spend 30m at two positions.

Need a Gerrard replacement as well. Depay was not going to help us with nothing. I am so glad we didnt sign him. Get that marquee striker and a Gerrard replacement.

And Rodgers isn't wrong... Depay would have been a luxury signing through and through... and a bit of a risky one at that. Much better to use that £25-30m addressing the real concerns at CF and RB.

We are in desperate need of goalscorers, Depay is one. forget his position, also a deadly free-kick taker which we will lack once Stevie is gone. We need at least one first choice striker, and either another goalscoring striker or a goalscoring AM/Inside forward (Which Depay would have been). Anything else is secondary imo. DS15 is out until October and who knows in what state he'll be back. WE NEED GOALS...WE NEED THEM RIGHT NOW.

and Depay isn't even a winger, he is an inside forward.

Memphis plays from the wing but yes he would have been a good buy for this team. It's done and dusted though time to move on.

on important of fullbacks i'll just say this:

Our last 2 title challenges, we've had likes of Dossena and Cissokho playing for us. But we challenged for the title because in both seasons, we had 2 deadly goal scorers (Torres/Gerrard, Suarez/Sturridge).

If we had Lahm and Maldini playing for us in those seasons, but had Ings/Benteke up top, we wouldn't challenge for the title.

So get our priorities right

We can't expect to challenge if we have a glaring hole in our squad. Can you spot such a weakness in City, Chelsea, Arsenal, ManU??? That's the hallmark of a competitive team, an overall quality. Also, we didn't challenge for titles with Dossena and Cissoko, we had Aurelio and Flanagan playing bulk of the games.

While ST is definitely our #1 priority, RB is no less than #2.

^ Even if you don't think a second ST is our priority Fahim, then a top class CM is second priority behind the ST, ahead of RB....IMO.
