I think we can use something like that for Arsenal when we sign Khedira. Ramsey = Bastian. Khedira as Khedira. Sanchez as Podolski. Giroud = Gomez. Muller = Walcott.

Pressing is the key though.

I want someone to explain what are routine of building up play is going to be with ramsey and khedira in midfield with gibbs and mertesacker in defence. This is something that needs to be improved upon not made worse

We need to restrict Gibbs IMO. He is much better defensively than offensively. Debuchy is an extra outlet from RB so it should be something like this while building up

funny enough, flamini was more box to box than most think, he tried to get forward quite a bit. arteta never drove forward, maybe thats why wenger wants to sell arteta.

wenger maybe just doesnt like the idea of a pure DM. but imo, schneiderlin isnt a pure dm also, he is quite decent offensively as well.

for me, its between schneiderlin and khadira.

pro's:
-big name, will give the players an even greater lift.
-has big game experience
-aggressive runs going forward and can drive the team up the pitch on his own like yaya toure does, but he does it even more consistently. (thats actually a huge plus as we dont have anyone like that bar rosicky)

con's:
-seems injury prone now
-not that good defensively
-not that good going forward
-poor one touch passer.

schneiderlin:

pro's:
-good defensively
-great passing, hardly ever loses the ball, collects the ball great with his back to goal and spreads the ball with speed.
-quick and agile
-can also drive forward but not with the same consistency as khedira.

cons:
-lack of big game experience
-not as aggressive going forward.

to me, i dont know i will just give it to wenger to choose, i would prefer schneiderlin but i think i can see why khedira would be useful in an offensive way.

These are all the scenarios last season

- scczesny passes to sagna, sagna looks forward, opponent presses, sagna passes back to szczesny, szczesny hoofs to giroud, giroud loses ball.
- szczesny passes to gibbs, opponent presses, gibbs hoofs ball out of play.
-szczesny passes to mert, mert turns forward half an hour later.
-szczesny passes to kos, kos turns into messi dribbling past succession of defenders into opponents half, THEN loses all composure and gives the ball away.

Meanwhile, arteta/ramsey/wilshere/flamini, are twiddling their thumbs watching it all happen. Good to see we are adding the GOAT deep lying playmaker khedira into the mix
