We bought him for £12 mil with add-ons reaching £15 mil. I can't see what add-ons would have been activated since he didn't even make 5 appearances and we didn't win anything. His loan fee is £2 mil so + £10 mil we recoup our money.

Potentially £40 mil from the sales of Bebe, Buttner, Evra, Hernandez, Cleverley and Zaha.  

When Nani has a killer season and we get £15 mil next summer

On a serious not, I wish him good luck, his confidence is low perhaps a move is what he needs. Just isn't good enough for Man Utd anymore. Surprised Everton didn't go for him Martinez would have been great for him.

Yeah.

It's not his fault he wasn't good enough for the club. He was playing for the club he supports, in his mind he made it, and got complacent at one point, then lost his confidence too.

Started out well, had a successful loan spell at Wigan, then burst on the scene for us in the 2011/12 season (remember his role in our 2nd goal v City in the comm shield?). He was on form and we thought he was our future. Up until Davies injured him. He had a long spell out and has been in downward slope ever since.

The fact he was getting abused in social media got to him as well. He became defensive talking about "I'd be more appreciated in Spain". It was a further blow to his already ailing confidence.

Apparently Kagawa is going back to Dortmund, I'm glad he's going to a top club, there were rumours of Valencia. He's worth £20 mil+, De Bruyne went for £18 mil, but I think we'll sell for about £10-12 mil

if he is willing to play second fiddle to mata why sell him. he should have given at least one season under a good manager and then decide on his future. This move if happens I can see it really coming back to haunt us.. plus he is a van gaal type player as well. so probably just rumour I hope.

yea for his own sake. i agree we should let him go. he is too good a player to constantly warm the bench. instead it was from the clubs pov my opinion.
mata is scoring goals now. fine. no one is criticizing him cos of that. cafe jokers are crooning for him. but what when his scoring dries up. no one is noticing he is creating shet lately. and couresy that fat f rooney he isnt even allowed to take free kicks now. may be its a little immature on my part to criticize mata when the whole team is playing poorly, and hope i am wrong. but what if i am not, if we sell kag and if mata become a liability. what then.
so my point is at least until december we should hold on to kagawa and see the progress of mata and if he is revelling then fine. we can offload shinji.

Yeah, I agree, when the Mata goals dry up he offers very little to the team. The weird thing is, someone on RedCafe compared Kagawa's goal+assists per minute vs Mata's and Kagawa's was better. Plus, Kagawa offers more defensively and is able to control the tempo in the final third. He just lacks confidence right now. Shame, he's one that we will definitely rue letting go.

Now people will say 'Dortmund players can never play well in other teams', but it's not true, whenever he played as a #10, he played well. It's our fault, not his.

I think first two games LvG played him as a CM, he did a decent job. When he came on against Real Madrid, he played as a #10 and looked great, he did this awesome chip reverse pass to Hernandez and of course the nice assist.

I think he's is underrated in England (Martin Keown said he should move to Everton ) because at the time Dortmund were not really doing well in Europe, despite being Bundesliga champions.
