Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
only one of them. Right now i will go with Benedikt Howedes as Hummels hasnt been playing well and is also injury prone lately.
And I will get Aymeric Laporte.
the former 26 years old, is a right footed CB where as the latter 20 years old is a left footed one.
Hence the pecking order
lcb- Rojo, Laporte, Blackett(can offload once we find another suitable youngster)
rcb- Smalling,Howedes,McNair
sell Evans and Jones.
we should try to get an experienced lb or rb together with it for the leadership part. Dani Alves would fit the bill.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Hummels is a world cup winning, Bundesliga champion, CL finalist
i'll take him over all with that history
Dortmunds injuries and lack of goals in the team have been there downfall more so then there defence this ear
and as for Laporte, dealing with Bilbao is always difficult and there will be no cut prices we will have to pay a full release clause, we all remember the herrera saga

yea that we have to. But if he has potential, which i think he has in aplenty, why not. mangala man city ... so we dont be the 1st one anyway...
moreover laporte is a man u fan apparently.
scout him thoroughly for one entire season and if he is legit, pay them the release clause.

34m in pounds. not that much considering what we are paying recently to players . and quality cbs will cost money anyway. if he has similar potential as mangala, why not.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Hummels is injury prone and he is most definitely not faultless for Dortmund's current defensive issues. He's not the solution.
I will also say this though, if we don't solve our current injury issues, then there is no point buying a CB/RB because they will get injured too and we're back to square one. Just like how Shaw keeps getting injured hasn't solved our LB situation.

Telegraph say we will look to sell Hernandez regardless of if we buy Falcao or not.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
not surprising, he isn't good enough on the ball for Van Gaals standards imo
which is why I think we will see Fellaini on the block as well, man can't make a 6 yard pass most times

We really should try and get Strootman imo. We need to flog off Mata, Hernandez, Fellaini and a few others I can't think of atm. I know the 3 at the back has been working but I really can't stand it.

We're signing Valdes, 18 months contract. I would assume we'd have given him longer than 18 months if he was De Gea's, replacement but people will speculate regardless.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
yea its looking likely.
so looking into the positives, a solid gk with 2 years of top flight footy left in him.
I think the club is making sure if at all ddg leave next summer, we have a ready made replacement in the ranks as a short term option, the club will get 1 or 2 years to assess and finalize the future replacement. He must be agreeing to all the clauses even including the ones which say he is a backup to ddg as of now or even in the future if dave stays. I dont think its a bad deal. Hope the wages arent that high.

just because we signed Reina as backup doesn't mean we're planning on selling Neuer tbh

Louis van Gaal wants Kevin Strootman this window. #mufc will have to pay big money. [ESPN]
Manchester United are 'really really' interested in Raphael Varane and have been told a deal isn't impossible. [ESPN]

where will he play? RvP, rooney and one of Carrick and Blind are undroppable. Herrera is a 30 m signing who is doing increasingly well. Then theres mata and fellaini also.
This deal if its to happen will happen only next summer I believe.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
He lost his starting place at Roma due to his injury and Naingolan being nothing short than amazing, plus with Van Gaal at the helm I can see it happening. Not sure how much he would cost, he was bought for a fee close to 20M and last season he was one of the finest midfielders in Europe
So Valdes just signed to be a back-up? I mean, I'm not implying that DDG will be gone, but it's weird that a GK of Valdes's calibre is willing to have a back-up

well De Gea has played every match this season for us
don't think Van Gaal plans on doing the same thing with him next year when there is hopefully more fixtures

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Valdes has officially signed. We now have a better second choice keeper than Arsenal, Liverpool and probably City's first choice keepers.

On Strootman, I think we need him, he'd easily be our best passer if he were to come.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini as saying "Dybala is worth over €40m, but I won’t sell him until June. Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United. I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months. In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment.”
Never seen him play. I just know he's hyped, which doesn't mean much.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
imo our interest means Falcao won't be permanently bought
and that LVG seems to know we need pace upfront outside of Wilson
next Aguero imo

It hurts to me say it, because I love Falcao, but not buying him will probably be the right thing to do.
