Can't remember much of The Village but i'm quite sure i've seen it since i know how the film ends.
Signs is great, especially on a second watch.
El G's review of Knock At The Cabin sparked my curiosity

Saw Fracture (2007), nice older movie with a more old school sort of style. Anthony Hopkins great as always. Ryan Gosling im appreciating more whereas b4 I think I only seen him from Blade Runner n didnt know what his hype was cos he had only one expression, but watching more of his movies definitely helps Man, young Rosemund Pike was pretty hot, although not that many screen time in this one

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Saltburn... pretty sick movie lol, good overall n in some parts n I liked it, but still think its just another one of those these days that try to push things to more extreme but just arent original... anyway, Rosemund Pike is a legend, shes so good in the few movies I seen her in... N the main actor, deserves awards for all them performances done in this movie, I mean geez

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
The de-aging CGI used in The Irishman is not really working, they should have hired younger actors or make the film in 1990.
Especially about De Niro who's supposed to be in his 30s yet he looks nothing like he did in his 30s, seems more like a wax statue tbh, walking around and beating people despite having zero agility. Quite comical and it kills the immersion.
I rate B

Scorsese not aging well. Wasn't the biggest fan of Silence. The Irishman narrative wise was good but had its drawbacks and just wasn't as impactful and memorable as Goodfellas, Departed or Casino. And Killers of the Flower Moon was a complete off-tone dud.

I did not enjoy Wolf of Wall Street either. Although it could deserve a second watch.
Not seen Killers of the Flower Moon yet, but i will eventually watch it because it combines many things i like such as westerns, Di Caprio and De Niro.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Denis V is the best director in Hollywood. (After Scorsese)
I finally decided to read Dune and am halfway through and I cannot praise it enough. Waiting to finish the 500+ epic so I can finally watch One then obviously its sequel.
The series has so far definitely hit the critical mark and Im ecstatic to start the films.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
I watched the first one at least 10 times, can't wait to see this one.
Will have to wait though, I don't like the picture quality in our theatre, want to see it properly at home. I only go to the theater with the wife when I don't really care about the movie

At some point of the movie I have to admit I was a bit unsure why was everyone rating it so high.
Then I understood.
Lisan al Gaib
What an experience, I just love this feeling after seeing an incredible story.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
I didn't think Timothee Chalamet had that 3rd act in him... wonder how long Messiah is gunna be... i said in my Letterboxd review for both part 1 and 2 that i believe the Dune story would have been captured so much better in miniseries or tv show format a la Game of Thrones... just feel like there's much untold depth in this story... it's truly a unique fantasy sci-fi vision of its own... credit to the original writer

I wondered was he too soft for this role... Bit what a crescendo. He owned it.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Have to say I'm surprised by Stilgar.
They made him so badass, the introduction when he walked in unimpressed and spat on the floor, great stuff. He started the second one strongly as well, but then started giving off strong Jehovas Witness vibes. It's fine I guess, it was just that I liked him so much. Javier Bardem still does an incredible job though.
Also Chani, I mean it's also fine but it is weird that the male lead is prettier than the female ffs.

Also Rabban, did not expect him to turn out to be so weak and Feyd-Rautha to emerge instead.
Stilgar is funny though

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Just saw Part 2... well personal taste n I think its good, better then 1, but still, imdb has 8.7? Thats Christopher Nolan movies level, really? Overrated again I get the story is unique, looks great, sounds great, epic feel, etc., but no way it is THAT good... maybe im just old

Civil War, 3/5, it was okay, got what it was going for, but it was meek.
Drive-Away Dolls my favourite movie of the year so far...
Furiosa was good with some pacing and narrative issues here and there

Hereditary i rate it B+
Lots of suspense and great acting. The end was a bit comical but for horror movies that's as good as it gets. Not really into graphic and gore stuff.
