I liked Desolation of Smaug a lot. An Unexpected Journey did drag along a lot though.

It's a picture of Affleck, can spot that chin from anywhere, and he's 41, so it fits. Was just thinking if he'd show up at Comic Con one of these days to show off the costume. Would be awesome.

I also watched Divergent and I thought it was a good shitty movie. Maybe they could have cut out the parts where the main couple just stare at each other without saying anything and shaved 30 minutes off but that was to be expected.

Is it just me or does Gillian Anderson and Kate Winslet look an awful lot alike?

I just googled Cloud Atlas and Goal Legacy. I thought I recalled it being discussed here and a good friend of mine recommend it to me. I always like to see what other people thought/took away from a movie.

Cloud Atlas is amazing. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.

I only wished they had changed the post apocalyptic tribal language a little. It reminded me of Pootie Tang too much. It was hard not to laugh.

Cloud Atlas was indeed good. Very grandiose and even a bit pretentious at times (Asian-face? Really?), but quite good nonetheless.

Found it a bit thought provoking.

If you don't mind me asking, what about the film did you find pretentious? I plan on watching it again because I believe it will make more sense each time I watch it. I had actually started it the night before last and passed out 30 minutes in and it already made more sense when I watched from the beginning.
