One of the most absurd films i've ever watched I loved the style, i think filmmakers should make an entire subgenre out of it

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
a personal favourite actor of mine, doesn't get enough praise just as he doesnt get enough praise for his magnificent performance in Fight Club

could post the Motherless Brooklyn trailer, but it's one of those ones that spoils a lot of plot points. The ratings seem good decent to good though. Most significant critique is that the storytelling is a bit jumbled up

3. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
4. Moneyball
5. The Master
Those are the five I think. Hard to make without going more into it.

Blade Runner 2049 is one I never really appreciated, I can see why one would rate it so highly but I really just don't feel that myself.

Still upset Fury Road was snubbed at the Oscars to Spotlight (neat little film tho).

i was really impressed by it on my first watch. Watched it again a while ago, and it didn't hold up the same unfortunately. The running time and pacing suits the initial mystery of not knowing what's gunna happen. Fury Road has much better rewatch value, plus still pretty damn great overall regardless

I was waiting to make a top 10 for the decade after the big movies of this year are done releasing.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
no one else's heartstrings were tugged by cinematic masterpiece ROMA?
I can already say Wolf of Wall Street while i really really enjoyed it is not gunna be in my Top 30 and Infinity War is going to be there somewhere because we have to recognise the Marvel dominance of this decade

The Laundromat is fucking terrible...
Also Meryl Streep dressing up in brown face makeup to play a latina character is so fucking wild and tone deaf
Like what the fuck is that shit
Also... Gary Oldman is a bad actor

Will never understand the praise he gets in Leon. 100 other actors could have played that role better.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Talking about bad actors. I don't know why this happened but after watching Joker first thing that dawned on me was how limited De Niro is. I know he is waaay past his sell by date for a long time now but he acts the same way in every freaking movie and scene, even decades later. No matter what's going on, he is alternating between mouth corners down, pissed off, why am I even here face mixed in with slightly pissed off, ironic fake laugh face.
You take out all those iconic Scorsese mob movies + Raging Bull + Taxi Driver and there is not much left out of his 100 or so movies.
Don't @ me.
