Re: The Movie House - Part 11
In the face of the lack of good to very good films this year, Tully is a good little film, with a class portrayal by Charlize Theron, playing the leading role and giving an authentic depiction of post-natal depression.

Well I certainly didn't expect most to agree given the hype

Streamed a copy online just last night
Haven't been to the cinema a lot this year except for some of the bigger movies. Gotta say I wouldn't mind the video-on-demand takeover, just as long as it doesn't completely exterminate the choice of going to the cinema if you want to.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Well the humor was what makes the movie so beloved years later by film fans so I'm surprised you thought the movie was nothing special if you appreciated the comedy. I don't which character really needed to be developed. It was Belfort's story and the movie had Scorsese's trademark minor memorable characters (McConnaughey, Bernthal, the Swiss banker, the two security guards, Belfort's dad). Characters were shallow because they are supposed to be shallow, just like 80s Wall Street crooks.

That looks incredible. These prequels are a straight up cash grab for WB, but they are so well made that I don't even care.

I don’t know if I’d call them cash grabs from WB. JK Rowling doesn’t need money and she’s written the new ones entirely, so it’s probably something she wanted to do.
Can’t wait to go back to Hogwarts. Feel like the universe has much more to offer even beyond these films.
Too bad Eddie Redmayne is awful

Yeah Rowling doesn't need the money, but WB are a studio like any other. They'll bleed this IP dry until it's no longer profitable to do so. Not a complaint, like I said, since the quality has been high so far. Just an observation.
