I think Highburied was mostly responsible in starting useless fights between Arsenal and Liverpool from our end. But I have a request that none of you ever provoke or start an argument in the GS unless it's productive.

I don't care what they say about Arsenal. If it's trolling then Admins are there to take care of it but none of you should be taking any part in either starting or carrying out petty fights.

Good to see proactive contract extensions. However, at least some, if not all the players, would have sought a reassurance that Arsene stays on, imo.

Players like Ramsey, naturally. Hope that's a positive indicator.

So much rides on us winning a trophy, I'd feel even more devastated losing one if he left after that. Want him to extend, win and leave with his head held high and on his own terms.

Szczesny: I was ready to leave

Wojciech Szczesny has revealed he was set to leave Arsenal back in 2010 as he thought he was ready for first team football.

He was nearing the end of his deal and considered the possibility of moving clubs, but now says he’d stay at Arsenal forever if the club wanted him.

Speaking the Polish paper Przeglad Sportowy, he said, “In 2010, I wanted to leave. I was far from the first team and my contract was expiring. That was the only time I was ready to leave.

“I was ready to play in the first team but I wasn’t even a sub in League Cup.”

Arsene Wenger obviously saw the potential the young man had and began to involve him in first team affairs, but even after establishing himself as number 1 at the club, Szczesny was dropped for the trip to Bayern Munich last season.

However, the next day Arsenal offered him a new contract, a show of faith in his talent above his form, and he made sure he knuckled down to prove his worth to Arsene Wenger.

“The decision was made the day after I was told I wouldn’t play against Bayern,” he said. “The next day I was at the training ground at 7.30, I trained individually and at 10.30 with the team. It was noticed.”

Now, he’s ready to sign on for life, saying, “If they give me a contract to the end of my career, I’d sign it without any hesitation. I feel attached to the club and the coach who has given me a chance. There are not many who would do that but I must’ve been good. I see the future here.

“I’ll play at Arsenal as long as am wanted here. I am not afraid to fight for number one with anyone: Fabianski or Casillas. It’s all in my hands. I am in the best form of my life.”

Arsenal-Swansea preview online tonight.

An Independent Regulatory Commission today heard two claims from Arsenal, one of mistaken identity and the other of wrongful dismissal, both in relation to Saturday’s game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The commission ruled that the dismissal of Kieran Gibbs was a case of mistaken identity and transferred this to his team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Subsequent to deciding this matter, the commission then considered Arsenal’s claim for wrongful dismissal in relation to Oxlade-Chamberlain. This claim was upheld, meaning Oxlade-Chamberlain will not serve any suspension with the standard punishment withdrawn with immediate effect.

A handball in the box is only a penalty if it stops a goal from being scored, but Hazard's shot was off-target anyway.

you mean red card, a penalty it's anyway.

I have to say though that reasoning is a bit strange. Clearly Ox wouldn't have done the handball clearance if he didn't think the shot was going in and tried to preventa goal.

To let him off jsut because in hindsight you can see the shot would've been just wide?

That's a bit like if a goalkeeper makes a save although the shot would've been off target and you don't give a corner for that reason.
