My co-worker had a period of severe memory lapses, caused by the medication he was prescribed when he was recovering from a car crash. He later said he wasn't sure what was worse - the crash or the memory loses from the meds.

None of them. I prefer each of those 3 to a deserting ex-captain.

I don't get how it was only 48h to decide, when we had first refusal and any other deal can then only happen once we decide and convey that we have no intention of using that clause.


Anyway, no use debating it now. What's (not) done is (not) done.

Fabregas is a snake. Would have sold neither of the three.

How much do you think we'd make selling Diaby, Arteta, Flamini and Podolski to cover an unnecessary move for Fabregas?

I'm not upset about not bringing him back, I'm upset that the money we have available wasn't properly and thoroughly reinvested in the squad. The fact that it's him making Chelsea better isn't a great feeling but if I could go back and change something it wouldn't be to bring him here, it would be to sign a DM and CB in the summer.

Fabregas can't play in any of those roles. It's not just about selling players you don't find contributing enough, but you know that. We'd've have been treated to more 8-2, 7-3, 6-3, 6-0, 5-0 scorelines, with us scoring the fewer of the goals with that line up.

This debate wouldn't exist if Fabregas wasn't doing so well for Chelsea. I still get Chelsea fans at uni asking me why we didn't sign him, and my answer to them has been the same every time, except now I can say that Santi is amazing.

In other news, apparently we could have signed Di Maria when he was 17 but for work permit issues. Just think of the money we missed out on by never having the opportunity to sell him to Real Madrid.

I am sure if the work permit problems weren't there, wenger would have found a lot of gems for Madrid/City etc.
