I will add he is only 20. He could potentially grow an inch more or get to at least closer to 6 foot when he is fully developed. Doubt it...but he could. Bartra is 6 foot, and at 5"11 Balanta can't possible be too far away from delivering the same arial threat, especially if he's athletic which Bartra isn't

Bartra is athletic, maybe not Balanta's level, but he is quite explosive, quick and with a good jump.

I would much rather have a 6 foot defender who can jump 30 inches off the ground than a 6 foot 4 defender who can jump 20.

Álvarez Balanta may not be as all round as Varane but he's a beast physically. If you liked Dedé you'll like this guy too.

His price is definitely too high though. I'm pretty sure you can get him for cheaper than €15 million. River are a scrub team desperate for money right now.

If Mangala is worth 40m then Balanta is worth 15m, agreed?

Barca can probably negotiate it down to 10ish, but I wouldn't call it a rip off for 15m. I mean, we paid 25 for Chigrinsky.

I honestly wouldn't be upset if we paid 15m for him.. we've done much MUCH worse.

ramos is 183cm or 5'11 and 3/4 and is an absolute monster in the air

unless you go lower then 5'9, its not the height, its the player. look at pique ffs, hes horrid in the air

He just said today that Barcelona is the place for him and he is sure it's going to be resolved and he'll renew.

apparently the Manchester teams are about to lure him out

Mangala isnt worth 40, thats just what Porto insist you pay. Cut that in half and thats his real value.

Not even a little. His agent probably just doing his due diligence by trying to get him paid the amount he deserves.

Does he deserve to be paid as the second best player in the team though? And quite a lot more than all other players except Messi? I'm not sure.

I think he is our 2nd best player and im more than happy if he becomes that.

Maybe Neymar will soon to be better, but I think Iniesta deserves it yes. He has done too much and plays at too high a level (before this season so far).

If he isnt our 2nd best player, I would like to know who is?

Maybe he deserves to be the second most paid player, but the figures that are being thrown around are too much. IMO, he doesn't deserve to earn twice what Fabregas, Xavi or Busquets earn, just to mention the figures being thrown around. Just slightly more than them.

From Iniesta's performance this season, there are several players in better form than him, Neymar and even Cesc and Alexis.

Plus he is 29. I think he will continue to play at his high level until he is about 33 give or take. I would be ok with him being our 2nd highest earner...but not twice what Xavi, or even Cesc and Busi make. Thats just too much. I worry though, because RoSELL is an idiot and I could see him trying to cash in on him for the right price, especially with Cescs good form this season.

Doesnt anybody have the list of how much our entire first team squad makes? Im interested to see the figures, and also how many years left on there current contracts if possible. Thanks

I dont know about the figures to be honest, I have not heard and even if I did I would take what I hear with a truck load of salt.

I believe Iniesta makes £115K at the moment and Alves/Xavi/Neymar all make £120K, were as Leo makes £220.

when they are telling an exclusive(i.e they are making stuff up), yes. I watch that show, not because of its information, but because of it's comedy. Although Siro, Roncerdo etc and the fact that the show is infact Real Madrid TV wind me up all the time..

Oh and Francois Gallardo is the biggest troll ever! xD

I watch it for the lulz. It's fun to watch Roncero and Siro cry..

But that show is probably the worst "sport" program ever. They regurarly manpulates videos(like the infamous Alves - Pepe red card) by deleting frames and other ways. And most of the times, it's to make Barca look bad and Real Madrid look good..

Many culés watch it when barça wins madrid or a title. It has even been share leader in Catalunya when barça wins. I can't stand it even then.
