Capoue is already looking like the transfer of the season so far for Tottenham. An absolute bargain. Came on in the last 30 minutes against Crystal Palace and made 6 interceptions- more than anyone else in the game. Don't know about his stats against Swansea but I'm sure they were great.

He's a monster out there, very physically intimidating and willing to throw his body around, and usually win the ball. As a ball winner he looks as good as Sandro did last year (who was the best DM in the prem until his injury last year). His passing is surprisingly good, quick, and accurate.

He's a bargain and a steal. The player Wenger should have signed. It's early days yet but he looks great.

On Lamela: depends on how much faith AVB has in Townsend/Lennon. I pegged him to play RW, where Bale used to play, but Townsend played there and played well, and AVB has been praising him. Realistically if Lamela doesn't play on the RW he'll play on the left ahead of Chadli. I could see him rotating between the two positions. At this point I can't say for sure where he'll start because neither Chadli or Townsend/Lennon have a definitive starting spot on the wings.

Capoue is the kind of profile we miss in madrid. Would much rather have a player like that than Khedira

Yeah... i thought the signing of Capoue was very smart. He's an underrated passer and his tactical awareness is also good. He can recover the ball and send it forward in good conditions. Works hard and makes himself available for a pass tirelessly. Allows Dembele and Paulinho to push up, which makes Spurs very dangerous.

Hasn't shown well at NT for France yet because he has a nervous breakdown before the game... He really wants to make the team lol.
