Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Not sure if this was posted already but de Vrij and Clasie have signed new deals with Feyenoord, despite interest from other clubs.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11671/8717442/Eredivisie-Feyenoord-stars-Stefan-de-Vrij-and-Jordy-Clasie-pen-new-deals
De Vrij has been closely followed in England with Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton all believed to be contemplating summer bids for the Dutch international.
Midfielder Clasie was wanted in Serie A with Fiorentina looking to take him, but now both players have extended their current contracts.
De Vrij has added a year to his terms taking him to 2015, while Clasie is now tied down until 2016.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Think De Vrij has signed so he has some value. Can still see him being sold if a club goes in for him.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
I think the Jovetic to Juventus deal could be a blessing in disguise for Arsenal. I really dont think Jojo is worth the reported £ 25 - 30 mil Arsenal were willing to spend, esp with his injury record.
Might as well splash that cash on Rooney

If we loose out on Jovetic, we won't get either, and probably end up with Higuain, who I'm not sure is the best fit.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Arsene Wenger is not José Mourinho and Abramovich is not Arsenal's owner.
Wenger doesn't look like the guy who would spend £ 25m + each on two players. Its a wonder he's spending such an amount at all.
On the Higuain bit, trust me if Higuain is given the chance to lead the attck with a decent support cast, which Arsenal currently has, Pipa can be the best striker in the world. Any team would be lucky to get Higuain

Higuain isn't that good... anymore. He's regressed since 2010. He should have spoke up more when Real brought in Benzema.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen has reportedly rejected offers from both Arsenal and Inter Milan, as the highly-sought shot stopper is holding out hope for a summer move to the Camp Nou.
According to Spanish sports daily, AS, Barcelona are in need of a new keeper as current La Masia product, Victor Valdes has made clear that this will be his last season at the club, forcing the Catalans took look for his successor.
The club are reportedly interested in signing either ter Stegen or former La Masia youth academy player,Liverpool’s Pepe Reina, or signing them both this summer, as both players have admitted interest in joining the club.
Barcelona feels that while ter Stegen would be the keeper of the future, Reina is able to capable fill in immediately and mentor the youngster.
However, due to Tito Vilanova going to New York for the week, Barcelona sporting director, Andoni Zubizareta has put off all transfer negotiations until the coach returns this weekend, where they will then formulate a solid list of players the club will pursue this summer.

We wont sign neither. (Higgy and Jojo)
Only Sanogo will be a brainwash signing.
Sagna and Vermaelen will leave.

PSG has opened negotiation with Wayne Rooney. Man U is happy to sell him outside the EPL and Rooney is very open to the move.
L'Equipe is saying this is moving very fast.

RG... Rooney is very close to coming to PSG according to L'Equipe. How do you feel about that? Biggest Englishman to move to L1 since Chris Waddle (i still dream of Waddle's time at OM btw lol).

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
That would be a huge news if Rooney moves to PSG. The media here will give him the beckham-esque treatment. Can also see a lot of english interest in ligue 1 ( mainly PSG ).
It would be interesting to see how he does outside England. On the pitch, he won't have trouble. But he might feel like leaving in a year.
I watch PSG anyways but Rooney will make it more exciting.

Amorebieta Arrives
Wednesday 22 May 2013 13:00
Fulham Football Club is delighted to announce the free transfer signing of Fernando Amorebieta on a four-year deal.
The 28-year-old central defender made more than 250 appearances in eight seasons for La Liga side Athletic Bilbao.
Having represented Spain at Under-19 level and lifting the UEFA European Football Championship in 2004, Amorebieta elected to play for his country of birth, Venezuela, at senior level.
He has eight international caps and one goal which came in a 1-0 victory against Argentina in a 2014 World Cup qualification match.
Amorebieta started his career at CD Baskonia in 2003 playing in Spain's third division. He moved to Bilbao in 2004 and spent one season with their reserves before becoming a first-team regular for the club in 2005.
Amorebieta said: "I'm delighted to have signed a four-year deal with Fulham and I'm looking forward to competing in the Barclays Premier League next season. I'm impressed with the talent already at the Club and I look forward to meeting the players for pre-season training in July."
Fulham
What a signing for them Nando would be a perfect man for EPL and Fulham as their fans should be joyous on this prospect of having him. Official now

Malaga officially admits that Real Madrid is in direct discussions with Isco and that it will be very difficult to retain him.
I think this one is in the bag for Madrid. Once the personal terms are final, they just trigger the 25 mil release clause.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Marotta has confirmed so many times Vidal's going nowhere.
And Vidal himself has been squashing the rumours.
If we actually did pull the trigger on a Higgy-Vidal swap I'd personally whack Beppe for free of charge.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
It's not just Higuain for Vidal... the rumor is Coentrao and Higuain for Vidal. It's just a rumor anyhow. Key for Madrid is that they have a €25 mil offer and €5 mil wage by Arsenal for Higuain and he's ok to go there too. So either Juve match the money or they have to meet Madrid's demands. There's no incentive for Madrid to do otherwise.
With Carvajal coming, there's very little interest in buying Lichsteiner apparently. Midfield is the biggest priority.
