Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
It's plain to see that Tottenham had none else to score for them for a large portion of the season. Naturally, Bale accounts for a larger percentage of their goals/game winners. I don't know if this is supposed to be some type of revelation.
Michu probably has similar numbers.

Ignore the facts people... ignore them! Stick with that completely subjective gut feeling no matter what!!
I like my subjective feeling thank you very much. While I don't doubt you or Crimsy stat pile up, it still doesn't help the tactical conundrum Bale represents if he makes the move to Madrid...

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
i don't even want Bale to come. I think tactically, it's a mess at Madrid with him and CR7... a horror show waiting to happen. But you can't deny his immense impact last year. Without him, Spurs would have been a mid-table team.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Some of you are way too naive ffs.
Who's to say that bale will play the exact same? Who's to say that bale and CR can't play with each other? Bale's adapted countless times in his career, who says he can't with madrid? So many variables, this is not fifa 13 smh.
I don't like the transfer, but you guys are making the problems a bigger deal then it is..

Suarez is twice the player Bale is. Despite i don't agree that Bale is worth anywhere near what he is going for, Suarez in an ideal world should be worth more than Bale.

Suarez with all the baggage should cost less imo and I'm not sure if Suarez is really better than Bale.

Rubbish, Spurs were in top 4 in first half of season when Bale wasn't raping face but the likes of Lennon, Dembele, Sandro etc etc were stepping up in more team orientated performances.
Its like saying without Messi Barca wouldn't qualify for CL, based on statistics its all utter nonsense.
You really don't think if Bale wasn't available other players would be given bigger roles and responsibility to make up for his loss?
Its not as simple as lose Bale and go to shit, besides their record without Bale is quiet good.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
According to Cadena Ser, a €96m bid has been accepted for Bale. However he would join in 2014.
Bale told Levy he wanted to leave this afternoon and he's apparently going to call a press conference to say Levy lied to him about allowing him to leave if Spurs didn't qualify for the CL.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Rodgers: "Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez were arguably the two best players in the Premier League last year and you can't say Gareth Bale is valued at 100 per cent more!"
So basically: 'Bale is not worth twice as much as Suarez, given their similar season performances.'
Everyone else/media: "Rodgers claims Suarez worth £100m/as much as Bale/more than Bale!"
Trolls: "LOLOLOL Liverpoo manager don't know what he's talking about. Suarez just racist diving shitehouse player who couldn't get into Nottingham Forest's team."
It's a bit sad how easily the media can make some of you lot dance to their jaunty tune, and how readily some of you like to make your selves look like utter numpties in doing so.

Anyone with sense can see Suarez is superior to Bale. Suarez was the best payer in the EPL last season by some distance.

Ironic how stats are being thrown out there to prove their point and when jiopsi uses the same format of stats (match winner) everyone throws away all credibility and suddenly stats are useless

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Sky sources report that Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is "unhappy and disappointed" about comments made by the club's manager Andre Villas Boas.
Real Madrid have made it clear that they are keen to sign the Welshman and are believed to be willing to pay what would be a world record transfer fee.
However, Villas-Boas said after Saturday's friendly defeat to Monaco: "These rumours of an imminent transfer are not true.
"The only thing we have communicated with Real Madrid is that he is our player and he is not for sale."
Bale has not made yet made his feelings public but Sky Sports reporter Amy Lewis said: "I've been speaking to a source close to Gareth Bale, who says that Bale is both unhappy and disappointed by the comments his manager made in that interview. In particular, that he is not for sale.
"Gareth Bale missed the match with Monaco yesterday because of a foot injury and I've been told it's unlikely he'll take part in training next week.
"A lot has been said about how much Madrid would be willing to pay for Bale. I've simply been told it's a world record fee, so upwards of £80m.
"It's not clear whether Bale will put in a transfer request but the source is still pretty confident that the player will be moving to Real Madrid. Nothing is imminent though."

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
If Bale wants the move he should hand-in a transfer request and make clear his desire to leave Spurs rather than acting like a brat.
