Re: Football Today
As a Barca fan its harder, n then watching Mbappe soon to join Real that will dominate football in the coming era will be even harder But overall its still enjoyable glad to say.

I am not happy because there is no players like this anymore:
Everyone is programmed to be robotic and only follow strict rules, any devation from the rule means certain death

Re: Football Today
I will pretend you didn't just compare he-who-shall-be-named with Neymar. They are not in the same galaxy as much as you perhaps would want them to be.

Re: Football Today
If we are comparing Vini to Neymar and I never have been a fan of Neyman, it isn’t even close in terms of skill.

Re: Football Today
Neymar is a few levels above vini. He would’ve been on Messi and Ronaldo’s level if he had their work ethic, but most Brazilians, as sports said, have a short shelf life. vini does have raw athleticism and is more straight forward, but yeah, don’t see how he’s better then Neymar in anyway.

Re: Football Today
We are spoiled.
Football has moved on from individual brilliance.
You have to be a Messi/Ronaldo level player to truly stand out consistently, year after year. And we don't have such talent at the moment.

who cares if one player stands out or not, stan culture has ruined sports discourse, the game is still the game... enjoy the game or not

Only a sith deals in absolutes.
I am not talking about Messi and Ronaldo at all. My favorite football was in the 2000's. Classic number 10's were my favorite players. I still enjoy football, I watch it regularly. However it has evolved, as everything does, but I liked it more before.
Point was that Messi and CR7 managed to stand out so much when the era of individual brilliance was already dying, that is just how above others they were.

Re: Football Today
In a yrs or even just half a yr, pretty sure everyone will be enjoying Reals football - Mbappe, Vini, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Camavinga, Davies, n not to mention others in that fking insanely stacked squad lol... I dont see how anyone can not enjoy it...
Will be hard as a Barca fan, but Ive learn to become more natural n appreciate good football in general so I dont mind it. Will be a dilemma though definitely whether wanting to see them play good football or perhaps hoping they might fail to be effective n win key games or whatever so they dont win everything
But if Mbappe gels with the others like the rest of the team has already, especially the telepathic understanding between Vini n Rodrygo, n add to that the freedom Ancelotti allows them but at the same time great work rate n confidence, mouth watering just imagining it tbh... too good to be true? Maybe unless...unless Mbappe causes a rift in the squad n leaves everyone unhappy n the teams suffers

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh to Muslim.
Good day to Others.
Personally, I'm a little sad
about the development of my favorite team,
Boca Juniors.
I feel that since Riquelme retired,
Boca Juniors is no longer the same team
that can beat
even the best teams in the world.

Re: Football Today
Football today quite simply put, is the best it's ever been. It doesn't suit me for Italian football and La Liga is nowhere near its zenith and it doesn't favour my teams either, but it is a verifiable fact and it will only continue to get better and our generation will inevitably glorify it above future coming generations as well.
Enjoy it for what it is.
