I don't for a second believe those Rooney to Barca rumors. I think papers are just running with that because of Rooney wanting out and the Thiago to Man Utd rumors are swirling. I don't see Barca trying to add him to the payroll...plus where would the play him? Makes no sense other than it being a nonsense rumor

He could maybe a similar role to the one Villa did at times. So when Barca have the ball, he goes to CF and Alves overlaps. When defending, he defends as a RW.

However that's not really ideal though.

All Cabaye do is run...

Cabaye is good... but he had a very meh year last year. He was clearly better than Hernanes the year before however.... very clearly. But based on current form, Hernanes is much better.

Cabaye seems injury prone, which is the main reason i'd stay away from him.

And no, he doesn't just run... Cabaye does a bit of everything and is good technically. Doesn't excel at anything. But is smart and knows how to run a midfield.
