Yeh he's almost 30 and he's been inconsistent in recent seasons. Higuain/Jovetic would have been better signings.

Yeah his WC performances in front that Dutch defense really papered over the cracks. Of Valdes and Alves though....Valdes has never played outside of Barcelona so that's a concern (albeit a small one). Whereas, Alves has at least proven he can adjust to more than one league. One is probably out of our reach on wages alone while the other is more probable, but is down to Valencia willing to negotiate.

Personally, I'm still in favor of Emiliano Viviano with Gianluca Curci and Mancat as the deputies.

Tevez for a total package 12m ,are you *bleep* kidding me ? Thats a bargain.
Also he's only been given a 3 yr contract worth 5.5m a season.Its a fantastic deal when you look at the financial side of things.

Age does not matter in Serie A.

15 Mill euros for a 30 year old player is a ok deal.with an additional 10 million they wouldve got Higuain and he is 25.

Juventus Wrap Up Deal For Manchester City Star
Juventus have reportedly wrapped up the signing of Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez for a fee of €12 million plus bonuses.

Argentinian newspaper Ole reports that the Bianconeri have beaten AC Milan in the race to sign the 29-year-old striker.

The report states that the Old Lady will pay the Citizens €12 million plus bonuses for the former Boca Juniors star, while Tevez will sign a contract paying him €5 million a season until 2016.

Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta was reported as being in London on Tuesday to continue talks with Manchester City officials and these latest reports would indicate that his trip was indeed a fruitful one.

Tevez joined Manchester City in 2009 from city rivals Manchester United, and has gone on to score 58 goals in the Premier League in 107 appearances for the Citizens, helping them to the league title in 2011/12.

Agreed, i was just talking about the footballing side of things and there here and now.

He has fallen off a lot in last two years and is not the player he was, not better than Vucinic or Llorente in my opinion.

good buy and the fee makes sense. Why? Tevez hasn't been on consistent form for 2 years and he has no resale value given his age. There's also a risk that his skills drop given his age.

So £10 mil makes a whole lot of sense for everyone.

City lost £10 mil in one year because they were stubborn last summer...
