Who's considered the better prospect and who has the most potential between the two?

Ronaldo is 28 and his contract runs out in 2 years and there are rumours it will be extended by 2 years

Perez has confirmed Isco is not what we need and if Bale comes he will likely occupy the RW role not LW. Jese is only 20 as well. Ronaldo might just do us all a favour and move to CF after next season when Jese has gotten used to the League.

Now that Neymar is there the guys competing for your RF position will be Sanchez, Tello, Pedro and then add Deulofeu into that mix he will find it hard to get playing time

wrong, Jese played all season as false 9 scoring 22 goals, and he is excellent on the right as demonstrated with youth Spain NT, taking the golden boot at the euros. he is extremely versatile

Delofeu however relies too much on cutting inside from the left, where neymar plays.

either way it's going to be complicated for both to make it.

Deulofleu has talent but the question will always be mentality. People say his competition is Pedro - but does he want to be Pedro? Is he willing to be Pedro for even a year? I doubt it. Jese has demonstrated far better work ethic and a willingness to change/adapt and he will no doubt be easier to integrate into a team. I see Jese as a CF moreso than a winger or an attacking midfielder, and I think it will pay dividends to keep him in that mindset from now. But I do like the idea of him on the right to get minutes, like Higuain, so we'll see if he does.

Don't care for the cut in and shoot thing so avoid the left at all costs Laughing

Sergi Roberto like Alex seems to have cooled off and he is like 21 or 22 now either he gets promoted or he is sold and I don't see many teams after him

Grimaldo is young and does have potential no doubt but he is very mistake prone and doesn't read the game well. He has sometime to learn though

Castilla are full of them. Denis who will either get promoted or leave this summer Benfica and Leverkusen are after him. Then you have the likes of Jose Rodriguez, Jese, Benavente, Raul de Thomas, Derik, Llorente, Noblejas and Pachecho etc who I can easily see promoted or at another top team

we have other decent ones who I can see at other decent teams like Juanfran who has signed for Betis. I can see Lucas signing for another good team. Nacho as well and Morata. We are rich with them. I won't even worry about our youth for the next three or so years because of the guys coming up

Real Madrid have 14 canteranos playing for spains u21/20/19 while barca only have 9 and nearly all of them for the u21. Tells you all

Surprised to hear Jese is more of a striker. What's with the Ronaldo comparisons if that's the case?

And why is everyone claiming Defloss is a left winger when he clearly prefers to operate from the right?

Personally think Deulofeu has the better chance of making it for his club, Jese will need to impress away on loan to even have a chance of getting a look in.

@harhar no we have always had more players in the u19 squad than barca but have usually had less in the u21 team partially because no castilla player will be included unless they have actually played with the first team and partially because we always sell our players.

will be interesting to see how the spain u20 coach will form his team. If Jese has a good tournament no way in hell he won't be promoted same with Deulofeu I think.

jese's promotion doesnt depend on spain u20. reality is that Zidane would like Jese to stay at the club while Deulofeu wants to go on loan
