Arsenal
Imagine thinking Arsenal could sit at the table of the really WC teams.

Under the old format this could have been a big setback for Barcelona but now they only need to finish in the top 24 to advance These matches feel like NBA regular season games.

Re: Champions League '24/25
When people talk about Madrid's CL black magic they seem to underestimate the importance of goalkeepers. There are numerus instances where Courtois and Navas before him single handedly kept Madrid in matches they had no business winning. I don't think Ter Stegen sucks but he doesn't seem to have many of these campaign-saving performances in his CV.

Yes he sucks.... None of Barca's noteworthy performances are thanks to him, not even a little bit. We always win in spite of him

Everyone jumped straight at Ter Statue right away, and rightly so, but I think Eric is as much to blame as the Nazi. He makes himself available for the pass but then suddenly ducks away and lets the attacker intercept. He should've just continued on and returned a one-touch pass back or to the RB. Fact is, that pass should've never come to him because both full-backs were free in this situation but still. He also should have the mental capacity to just let the attacker shoot because playing with 10 men from 11th minute onwards is so much worse than just going one goal behind. My conclusion is that both Ter Statue and Eric Garcia should be discarded- something that I could've told you, and I did, even before the season started. The saddest thing is that Ter Standing does not have a proper alternative so he can be average and still start no questions asked. Since about 6 years he is completely use less

Re: Champions League '24/25
But I thought EPL was so so so much better than other leagues and that if Arsenal were in Bundesliga/LaLiga/Serie A they'd walk the league. In the real world they can't even manage to score against Atalanta and were outclassed by the worst Bayern in years. Bet the European laughing stocks Barca would run rings around you too.

Re: Champions League '24/25
Come on now, Ter Stegen out is just the usual silly cules scapegoating... it happened with the likes of Lewand, Raphinha, or even Messi by some XD Ter Stegen is one of the worlds best GKs n was incredible for us for yrs, mistake or dip in form doesnt mean u just sell him lol...
Eric needs to stay away from the team just like Ferran n the like, I mean hes got like at least 3 red cards during his short Barca career or something XD What a player XD This game should just be forgetten cos luckily the new format means it doesnt matter much but perhaps a bit of wake up call for us too...

He came in 2014 and was only decent until 2017/2018, since many years he is not good. You just need to watch Real Madrid and see how many saves Courtois makes and keeps the team in the game
Both Valdes and Bravo were better keepers than Ter Stegen, now we dont even have a quality sub and competition for the #1

Re: Champions League '24/25
I still remember at the time when Barca had to choose between Bravo or Stegen, I wanted Bravo cos he was so good, but Stegen proved to be just as good if not better, anyway, I still think hes top, not as good as perhaps to his peak, but now hes Germanys no.1 n I dont think we could get another near as good, plus hes already a legend for us, I always appreciate players whos done well for us... even Courtois had his dip in form n mistake through his career...

Just as I said Coutois numerous mistakes throughout his career as well as dipped in form... Ter Stegen can do the same just like any other top GKs..

Re: Champions League '24/25
Just had a look at the winners odds, Arsenal are 3rd just little behind Real Madrid for some reason What have they done to deserve this highly rating? Feels weird yrs, most teams for some have dropped in quality? Or maybe Man C seem too good still n are leading it all?
Just read that Rodri out for the season though, UNBELIEVABLE STUFF.... I imagine the bookies should adjust the odds
N no... pls Real dont start winning it again lol...

No I think everyone is over doing as usual on GL But I also just think the bookies having them right up there near Real odds of winning the CL is just strange... I mean for the league ok they are good n been close, but definitely not the CL... no where near ever bar 2006?
Not trying to pile on EG cos the others are already doing too much of that But the fact that Havertz is ur 9 says a lot for example

Monaco’s admin been violating Barca on a daily since their win against them. Funniest thing about it is that Barca can’t even get revenge because there is no second leg pic.twitter.com/YwgSUevqoj
