We just won't pay a way overpriced 40 million euros for Martinez.
There's a difference between affording a player, and backing off a far overpriced player...
Chygrynskiy and Ibrahimovic says hi.
Eto'o for Ibrah plus large sum of money
Yeah right.
LOL thanks for proving that Barca could indeed afford Martinez for 40 million if they wanted.
You don't make any sense. Because Barca has overpayed in the past means they must now?
No, I'm just saying in this case, Barca won't pay the 40 million for Martinez- which is way overpriced, even though Barca could afford it.
Oh my lord
You dont get it, do you..?
My point is that in the past Barca have overpaid for players time and time again. They can't do it now, because they can't afford it any longer.
Re: Song to Barcelona
How in the world is this an amazing deal for us? Come on Gooners I GUARANTEE Wenger will not spend the money replacing Song.
Clearly RvP and Song have both been sold to make up for the money already spent in the transfer market which infuriates me...
No progress has been made at Arsenal for years, we strengthen and then weaken is the same summer every flipping year
Who's gonna play in Song's position now, Diaby? lol, Frimpong injured lol? Coquelin who has been wasted at rb/lb for the past year
FFS I'm seriously considering not bothering with my membership this season

The Mentality of a feeder club
How is a player with 3yr contract and being sold for £12-15m an amazing deal. You sell player with 2/1 year contract at that price. Would any of the other top EPL clubs do the same or sell for that cheap of a price.
Give the man a new contract and let him stay!!!

Losing Song would damage the image of Arsenal. But if they can get Capoue, it will be better for them.

we've won 3 trophies and at least genuinely title-challenged once since the last time Arsenal have won something

no Lex. I like you, I never even used to take digs at Arsenal. but your fans are unbelievably funny on twitter. They rave about their balance sheets all the time, I can't remember the last time an Arsenal fan on twitter actually raved about winning a game, or competition. all about money and balance sheet.
Admittedly, last time Arsenal won a thing, twitter and fb weren't even around. Hopefully I'll live to see how Arsenal twitter community react when

You got the lottary numbers for tomorrow ?
ahaha, Wenger had won f*ck all when he was in Rodgers' age...at least BR has a Championship play-off trophy at 39
Wenger was eating Sushi, and talking to Takayoki Okanamara until he was 42-43 ffs.....n then he turned into a GOAT admittedly , what an amazing risk by Arsenal board to hire this dude from Japan. one of the best gambles ever

Re: Song to Barcelona
So Twitter represents Arsenal fans.......like RAWK represents 'Pool fans?
Not forgetting the whole "net spend" argument involving Torres and Carroll
Question is, IF Liverpool ever win the PL, Sepps, will you be young enough to celebrate? And i don't mean young enough to go out, get wasted and party, i mean young enough to get out of bed on your own and have a little dance about without your hip hurting

Never would have predicted a month ago that Arsenal could sell both RVP and Song and still end up with an improved squad

Shut up you racist brit.
Why are Americans necessarily better than Arabs ?
is it because they have blonde hair and blue eyes and don't wear burqas ??
There are good American owners, and good Arab owners. same way that there are bad American owners, and bad Arab owners.
We got the worst possible set of American ownres in 2007, when we had been in 2 CL finals in 3 years (how many CL finals have Arsenal ever been in anyways?)....had we got Dubai in at the time, we'd be on 19-20 titles because it would have meant we would have got half of Spain's NT team in (remember us missing out on Silva, and had to go for Riera instead ?)
Hell, I much rather have Zombie owners, than Hicks and Gillette. their nationality don't matter, it's their horrible personality.
and yea, in 20 years...I am sure you'll tell your kid that your team won the "finish above Liverpool award" . you'll have memories and videos of it to show your kids....stop sounding like an Everton fan ffs....
RVP left you because he was tired of winning the 4th place trophy. Do you remember how fierce rivals Wenger and SAF were. how GOAT it was...what is it now ? Arsenal are now 2 tiers below, it's because they have made their fans accept not being on top.
We are not on top either..I am not sayin we are good. we are even worse...but I am simply criticizing the mind-set of Arsenal fans.
It's like Spurs fans on Glory Glory forum, raving about being BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
I hope they win the "BREATH OF FRESH AIR" trophy every single season...

Arrogant ? ....I am the most pessimistic of LFC fans on this forum about our team. You guys brought LFC into it..I could be a Derby County fan, I am just cirticizing the mentality of your club and fans.
Brendan is 39, well respected by GOATs like Mou and VDB ...that's a good foundation to build on.
No point in comparing a 62 year old to 39 year old.

I am sure if you asked this from a Man City fan 5 years ago....he would have smoked a couple of joints before passing out. He would have told you he has more chance of having an orgy with Megan Fox, Jessica Alba, and Penelope Cruz than celebrating City ever winning a league (after that 8-1 defeat vs Boro)
NEVER SAY NEVER.

So because a bunch of idiots on twitter rave about getting profit by selling players you choose to criticize the whole fan-base for that. Oh okay, I guess all Liverpool fans are racists because some idiots support Luis Suarez's act or all Madrid fans are idiots because some on twitter support Mourinho poking Tito's eye etc.
Some of the Arsenal fans on twitter are absolutely deluded that's why I never get along with most of them, but I've seen same ammount of idiots that support other teams. It's just like that every fan base has these idiots. But not everyone criticizes a whole fanbase like you're doing because of some idiots on Twitter who are probably 12-14 year old kids. I'm done with this. Sorry for going off-topic.
p.s Wenger won Ligue 1 with Monaco when he was 38, feel the difference mind I respect Brendan Rodgers but no need to go at Wenger.
