Re: Arturo Vidal
Is anyone else completely stumped as to who our Mr X is and if he even exists? Galliani has ruled out Kaka, Hamsik, Ganso, Vidal and anyone else even remotely possible to be the Mr X.
I hope Allegri lives up to the promise he made of replacing Pirlo with someone of just as much class and younger otherwise our season could turn into something of a struggle with a couple of injuries in midfield.

Have you ever seen Danilo play? Kid is one of the most talented players in Brazil and was one of Santos' best players in their Libertadores winning campaign.

i don't understand why you'd want to pass on on danilo. He is very talented and versatile as well.sciacca wrote:Milan and Juve seems to be fighting for Danilo's signature. Please take him, thanks.
Would clearly be a grade above your other transfer acquisitions atm

Re: Arturo Vidal
Juventus have leapt to the front of the queue for Arturo Vidal, as Napoli look elsewhere and Bayern Munich are locked out.
The 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is currently away on international duty with Chile in the Copa America.
He had been heavily linked with Napoli, but President Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear Vidal won’t be coming if Gokhan Inler completes his transfer from Udinese.
Bayern Munich were also prime candidates, but found themselves ruled out of the race this morning.
“Bayern could offer us the right price, but they won’t be signing Vidal,” Leverkusen director (and former Roma Coach) Rudi Voller told Kicker.
“We will only be selling him to a club outside Germany.”
Juventus have therefore leapt to the top of the list, but face strong competition from Arsenal.
Vidal is thought to be rated at around €9m.

The price they've quoted at the end is nonsense, but I would tend to take Voller on his word in this instance.

Re: Arturo Vidal
As far as I can tell without actually speaking German, the quote is authentic. The price they quoted may have been drawn from speculation about the size of Bayern's bid, even though it's still a poor piece of journalism. The clubs quoted are the ones generally considered to be interested from abroad. I don't believe any Italian side will move until the transfer rules for non-EU players are confirmed however.

Re: Arturo Vidal
Even Transfer market web rates Vidal at 14 million Euros.
Juventus can't afford him nor have the appeal to bring him (no CL football). He'll be going elsewhere. Who knows maybe we will sign him... if we get another non-EU spot. I'd certainly take him over Danilo.

Don't be too sure...Arsenal reportedly had a bid of 7.5M rejected rather hastily, so it's not far off. Although, I don't know if it was pounds or Euro. If it was pounds that means they want more than 9M, if it's Euro it means they won't consider his 9M rated price.

Um I think you are forgetting that we had a 10 million euro bid rejected... and Leverkusen confirmed it. He's more than 9 million Euros. Way more.

Yeah especially when Fabregas is going for only 30M.
and @Giancarlo: just forget it then. He's not worth "way" more than 9M in fact he's worth 5M if you're being generous. Unproven internationally, not to mention a huge risk to bring to Italy with no experience. I'd pay that if I was Bayern Munich maybe.

You're completely off the mark. Vidal does have international experience, and is an excellent player. 5 million? No, the market values him at 14-16 million... this isn't about unsubstantiated personal opinion.

So he's valued at half the price of Fabregas ? Not in a million years.

Fabregas isn't 30 million. Try again. Your numbers are all off the mark.

That's what he's valued at, actually. Even so, 15M for Vidal ? No chance.

No he's not. He's valued at more than that. Your numbers are all wrong. Not surprising really.

Re: Arturo Vidal
Lol @ checking if a player is worth the price by saying if he is half of Cesc. That is terrible logic.
Vidal would be worth the 15m euro's, he is proven internationally and just what Milan need in midfield.

Re: Arturo Vidal
I think his value just went up a little bit... though arguably that game was against Mexico's second or even maybe their third string team...

Re: Arturo Vidal
Bayer Leverkusen don't want Vidal to leave for free next year, they won't risk warding off the competition entirely by trying to scrape a few extra euros out of the deal. 15 should still be an acceptable fee unless more than one club becomes determined to grab him.

Too bad. He needs to come to Milan... but then again there is this:

Bayern don't need money at all, why would they accept a bid of 35 million? They'd struggle to buy the two quality central defenders they need with that money given the progress made in their negotiations at the moment. I'd love Bastien, however for the fee required we could probably pick up Vidal, Poli and probably Hummels next summer, assuming Flamini's estimation was also taken into account if he were used in the deal.
I wouldn't be surprised if Milan tried to bid for him, I just don't think that Munich and Schweinsteiger will accept the move. Van Bommel should keep talking to him however.

Re: Arturo Vidal
I think Schweinsteiger is a very complete player, and one we should put efforts to signing. We will find out tomorrow as far as non-EU options are concerned. The ruling should be out by then. Perhaps Vidal could join us... he would certainly be looking for a real challenge and European football on top of that, considering Juve is not a top 3 contender.
