so maradona , pele and CRUYFF are all madrid fans, because they all said that DS is the best ever.

although i dont say that DS is the best ever , Maradona and pele is definitely better IMO

Just show me 4-5 moments of R9 when he takes the ball from own half and ends up with shooting or goal then i will show you more than 30 moments of messi doing it

R9 was tricky and you like it. ok but he could not beat defenders like messi does. he was stopping using trick and getting past defender and usually maximum 1 or 2 defenders. messi does it at speed without stopping. faster and more profitable dribbling, as soon as defense comes together messi is already is face to face with goalkeeper. r9 was letting defense to come together with his pauses and tricks

its not even subjective. messi has all the rights to be considered better than r9. what r9 fanboys say is r9 got injured, r9 won WC and thats all. They have no another reason to put r9 above messi. Talent wise? how you measure talent? these all are biased opinions. You can only compare players by success and messi's 3 CL and 3 Ballon Dor>R9's 1 WC and 2 Ballon Dors. End of argument

Whos a better passer

Messi

Who has better finishing

Definetly messi

Who is a better dribbler

Ronaldo, barely, but messi has way more agility and balance, making him better overall.

As strikers/CFs not even close

Fact is, lio is a freak of nature, as much as I don't like it. He's a monster. R9 has dribbling on his side and thats it. He dribbles in straight line as well, hes a power dribbler and lio has much more agility and balance

As an individual player Messi can play as a midfielder and striker. R9 was just striker. As a midfielder Messi created 80% of Argentina's goals in WC. If it was R9 he could not do this. Maximum he would do Higuain's job scoring tap-ins that created by messi. Same like tap-ins R9 scored in 2002 created by Rivaldo.

But Messi can do 2 job, he is actually Rivaldo+R9 in one package
