Watched 'The girl with the dragon tattoo' Fincher's version.
I liked the story and the characters...especially the girl with the dragon tattoo.
The opening credits is one of the most badass

Just got around to watch Hunger Games, and I got to say it was worth the fuzz. Definitely an original movie. Can't wait for the second one. I highly recommended.

Downloaded Oldboy without English subtitles so I didn't get to watch that one. I did watch the Good, The Bad and the Weird though...fantastic stuff. Just about what I envisioned a Korean western looking like.

Well there is violence, but the killings are not gory or anything. In fact, there is a lot of fighting and dying in the movie, but the film isn't amazing for its visuals or stuff like that, what makes it great is the plot and the originality of the concept in the film.

Re: The Movie House
Looking for something to watch later this week. I'd prefer something fairly lighthearted in the action or comedy genres rather than a drama. Any suggestions?

Re: The Movie House
Let me be clearER... I'd like something relatively new (as I've seen most of the big films in recent years) and something either good or hilariously bad (talking Robot Holocaust levels-bad, here).

Re: The Movie House
it sucks that some of the new movies to be released in opening week, of release date, it would take months to be released in Japan!!!
for example im dying to watch The Avengers... while it will be released in worldwide by april, or by may... in Japan its .... on i think August!!! wtf....
by then, worldwide will have already DVD being sold out!!! thats one of the s...t moments being in Japan.
the main reason for that i just found out from net is because the movie rights holders and distributors first look for box office success withiin US, Europe then look for profitting in asian markets, like in Japan mostly. but the big anticipated movies like say harry potter or say lord of the rings ... these promoters know there are huge fan base in japan and marketting would be successful anyway so they will release movies within the same date as worldwide release date.
so i am f... kin wondering why THe avengers is too late to be released in my country lol... its a big movie...
its the same with tv shows and all, while one season of any tv shows is over, ours will be like 1 year late....
so i guess u guys living elsewhere are pretty lucky man hahaha to get to watch most anticipated movies or tv series.
