looking forward to the dark knight rises ... just month to go woohoo. looking forward to bourne movie, and 007, wondering how sam mendes does, looking at trailer i am bit nervous that it night fail, MGM cant afford to let this movie flop because the company went bankrupt and have finally come back and greenlight the movie.

guys do u think should direct the next 007 and after daniel criag contract expires and if he doesnt renew who should be cast??? any suggestions? me i think henry cavill should get the gig since i read in imdb that he just narrowly lost to daniel craig for the role (barbara brocchi was said to have stamped daniel craig should get the role after watching layer cake... actually that movie is awesome)
other than that i cant help but think tom hardy should definitely play 007. he is the next huge superstar he is already amazing actor

on director, i desperately want Christopher Nolan to write and direct 007 one day.

Tom Hardy 007, Nolan Director = superGOAT!!!!

I really wanna see Moonrise Kingdom...but it looks like it only shows in select theaters (indie film) and the local theater isn't showing it. Oh well, will have to wait to rent it I guess.

Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Bill Murray...?! You can't go wrong with that cast. Well, can't go wrong with any cast that has Edward Norton to be honest.

Looks like it's gotten great reviews too.

So excited about The Dark Knight Rises too!

Airplane is awesome, and if you like that (and if you have even one ounce of humor in your body you will) every single Naked Gun movie as well. Leslie Nielsen is a boss.

clive owen or Gerard Butler are good picks, but they will probably choose someone like Fassbender or Worthington

for me he has to be British

but i would love it to be Benedict Cumberbatch (probably won't fit the role)

but Craig is gonna be there for a while i think, but he has done a pretty good job and has that old British look

i hate old movies

unless is scarface or godfather there is no way i will watch a movie created before 1990

plus they are all overrated cause some people grew up with those films and are maybe their first movie memories and are "original"
so for example in imbd they overrate them

this is ridiculous. many of my favourite films were made pre-1990

Love, Chris Nolan but I think there are better people out there for this particular job.

Tony Scott I think deserves a franchise like this, he's better than people like to give him credit for, and is often overlooked just because of his brother.

Would love to see what John McTierman would do with it but that isn't happening.

Anton Corbin is a a homer pick .

Sad Jean Pierre Melville never got to work on it :coffee:

Katheryn Bigelow for the Lolz.

yes but no person born 1980 and after would like those movies
with exceptions always, both ways

i look at it like football

football has improved a lot during the years, in every aspect, you go watch pele year's football and have the guts to tell me you will live through it and love it like you do now

and considering movies im not talking about graphics, thats the last thing i care really, im not the sci-fi fantasy guy, i hate these kind of movies

but from the plot, storyline, intelligence etc everything has improved during the years, even acting which really doesnt fit this generation
the only thing those old movies overcome the not so old is probably "originality"

for example there is movie "troy" the old one and the new one

a lot of people will say the old one is miles better you know why? cause they saw that first
what you watch first sticks to your mind as better

but the new one is better from almost every aspect
same goes with a lot of other movies

so in my mind old movies suck, you will have plenty of ones with similar storyline and far improved in the new generation movies after 90's

I agree. I was born in 1996 but I'd say a good half of the movies I watch are pretty old. I mean come on, there are some absolute legendary movies that are old that far surpass anything we have today. A Clockwork Orange is easily a top 5 movie for me and that was 1971 I believe. 2001 A Space Odyssey is fantastic (Kubrick ftw) as well.

Anything by Woody Allen is always going to be great.

As said earlier, Airplane! and the Naked Gun series are both (sort of, not sure about Naked Gun movies ) older, but those are the best comical movies of all time in my opinion.

I guess you're entitled to your own opinion, it just shocks me Shocked
