I'm actually considering attending the QFs since they're in London

Any 'non-meta' champions that you guys would like to see played at worlds?

Shaco (im serious lol) the bantz+the outplays+the jukes its all so mouth watering. Iirc, insec used him last year ( not 100% sure), among other weird options such as fiddle and panth lol

So I have 10k IP, what champions should I try?

On top of my head , Vel Koz , Draven and Nami . Probably Hecarim too .

I'd say probably almost all of them , wouldn't surprise me to hear he still isn't lvl 30

Juveman , if/when you have a standard rune page for AP , a standard rune page for AD , a standard rune page for support and a standard one for Tank(i guess that's optional,depends) , then you can try new champs . Don't bother getting champs untill you get runes and runepages , you'll never get the best out of them , nor would you truly achieve progress without the runes+runepages .

On a final note , at least subconsciously , you probably have already answered this question to yourself . We can recommend fotm champs or OP picks , however if you don't like those , or you're not willing to invest the time to take them to a lvl that rewards you , it won't mean much anyway .

So i'd say , complete the standard AP and AD rune pages first of all , then get yourself 2-3 runepages more , get the runes to complete them and when after 3-4 months you have a rune page for 4-5 roles , then you will have time to try out new champions (: . On a more serious note , there's always the free week champions , grind for the runes/pages you need and try champions out each week , best you can do. I guess you can always buy a champ in between , if you enjoy playing it that much .

** October sales out , Galactic Azir on sale . Couldn't bring myself to pay full price for a skin i like much less than classic Azir , but on sale .. i guess i can have it for such a little cost. Ok so these are the champions I currently have are:

Ashe, Cass, Cho Gath, Eve, Garen, Karma, Morgana, Riven, Ryze, Sion, Sivir, Syndra, Talon, Xerath

So I havent set up my runes basically at all. Sorry for sounding like a nub but how should I go about that? Is there a guide i can follow for best rune setups?

Mobafire guides and other sites of the same ilk tell you what runes you need for each champs, though its fine since you're a beginner but in higher lvl play you have to take it with a pinch of salt.

I saw most of the games in day 1 and 2 .

Fnatic vs. Invictus : nice stomp , expected , Febiven's Azir

Cloud9 vs. ahq e-Sports Club : again , expected , just saw a little at the end , don't really like c9 bar Sneaky

SKTelecom T1 vs. H2K H2K did better than i expected , but SKT did what they had to do as they were scaling up in the game. Faker playing Azir vs LB so well , Ruy was really good too. Ffs Faker.. Anyone who knows Azir and has played Azir vs LB understands how well he did. Dude even managed to trade back most of the time.. take Nagne vs Bjergsen as an example.. Nagne lost lane pretty convincingly by Bjergson's LB . Faker's Azir may not be as solid as Febiven's or especially Easyhoon's or Coco ... but it is REALLY clutch when he must.

Edward Gaming vs. Bangkok Titans : damn that was easy. EDG looking the best team in the entire tournament so far. Deft has been playing out of his fkn mind , the rest are all pretty damn solid as well .

Best game LGD vs Origen : Spectacular game . ES you may not like Peke very much , but in this game , he reminded everyone just why they used to hype him up so much . He was very good and so clutch as the game went on. That shockwave man

would talk about all the games i saw but i dont have the time right now , amazing worlds so far.

Yeah, LGD v Origen was definitely the highlight match. Thaat wombo from Origen sealed the deal for them , and when i saw Soaz xpeing their nexus i was screaming at the computer lol, (they also won the recall fight at baron surprisingly). I kinda think LDG screwed themselves over in the pick n ban phase (letting OG have annie and kalista? uwot7+1?) i mean, malph vs vlad lane is vlad's win 90% of the time imo

Origen definitely can top the group, 2nd should be LGD. Real TSM going out in groups

Everytime Bangkok Titans come up people are like "How do we avoid saying they're s***"

Marin has been SKT's best player so far in these 3 games ! Fantastic player , can tank , can carry , can win lane , can teamfight , has an impressive champion pool.. what more can you even ask ? He has been one of my favourites since i came to watch more competitive and easily my favourite toplaner .

As for the game , it seems now in hindsight that i underestimated SKT a little , i thought this would be so much closer than it did ? Seems this was the first game SKT really went tryhard in the tournament , even the game against H2K was more even than that lol . EDG found it pretty hard this game , Amazing got rekt by Marin ( ) , Pawn countered , and the utility and synergy Bengi-Bang-Wolf provided , coupled with clever rotations and shot calls , won them the game quite convincingly .

Despite the clear victory , i predict EDG will go very far in the competition . They have a super good team with players who are really strong both as a unit and at an individual level . The moment any top team messes up in champ select at advanced levels of the competition , they re gonna be paying for it . SKT won because they kinda countered them spot on in champ select and even then , most teamfights were somewhat close for all the lead SKT had managed .

Finally , hype didn't quite meet expectations , at least not fully that is , but the game was really top notch and with no room for mistakes . Teamfights were some of the best so far during Worlds , not because of great highlights but because of how calculated , mechanicaly intensive and very carefully positioned each player were/tried to be . Every single mistake got punished on the spot almost , from Faker and Wolf , to Deft and Pawn .

Can't wait for more , watched preciously little of Worlds last season but this one is just great stuff so far. Shame Fnatic is last one for today , can't wait to see Febiven ! He went from a player that i really didn't think was anything special to my top 5 , probably my favourite at this point. I learned Azir from watching him play Azir and trying to understand his game , his decision making , and imho , he's easily in the top 5 mids . I doubt he'll be allowed Azir again but still should be fun to watch whatever he plays (bar Lulu , fkn gods pls let this shit pick at mid die), his mehonix and skirmishing are pretty damn good .
