I haven't seen the show, but I've read the book and can personally vouch for it as being pretty good. If the show is half as good as the book, then I can see the hype as being justified.

well it took them like 2-3 years to film the first season, so i thought it'd take the same time to do the 2nd one....
but sooner the better

2nd season would be next year if HBO follows filming schedule ( read it somewhere 13 to 14 episodes). Luckily, the fans have the fifth book coming soon to chew on.

The HBO teaser says the new season will air in spring 2012!Im guessing they'll spend more for the new season probably they'll have more battle scenes in it! anyways , I wish the first season was longer,cant wait for the new season!

just finished the second book...thrilling read no doubt, but I'm starting to get nervous

5 more freaking books left? How is this supposed to stay interesting without crossing over the line of ridiculousness? Even plot twists get tedious and predictable eventually...

Well after the 3rd book (which is the best one) the 4th and 5th do take a step back as far as plot twists and developments are concerned.

This may not be entirely accurate

Not saying who will or will not die or if anyone of them will die at all, but don't expect anyone to be untouchable

Avoided this thread like the plague until I finished season 1.

I knew the hype was high for this show, but it has blown me away completely. Every thing you want to see in a fantasy TV series.

This is what Legend of the Seeker should've been, but they didn't have the balls to do it, which is unfortunate, considering that the Sword of Truth series is one of the best fantasy series out there imo.

Peter Dinklage better win something for his role as Tyrion. An Emmy and a Golden Globe and possibly a BAFTA should all be on the table for such a superb performance.

too bad the books take a nosedive after storm of swords... i'm almost in the middle of feast for crows and it's basically the first lord of the rings, a bunch of people trying to get somewhere
