Game Of Thrones by Telltale Games
- Spoiler:
"Based on HBO's award-winning television drama, Game of Thrones - A Telltale Games Series tells the story of House Forrester. Caught up in the events of The War of the Five Kings, they are placed in a precarious position where members of the household must do everything they can to prevent the house from meeting its doom."
"Our game series is based on the world, characters and events seen in HBO's TV show, which in turn is based on George R. R. Martin's books (A Song of Ice and Fire). The events in our game series begin towards the end of Season Three of the TV show, and end right before the beginning of Season Five. You will visit familiar locations such as King's Landing and The Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester."
"House Forrester is a noble house from the Wolfswood in the north of Westeros. Bannermen to House Glover, they have always offered unswerving loyalty to the ruling great house of the North – the Starks. The Forresters are seated at Ironrath, an imposing stronghold surrounded by towering ironwood trees. Built over fifteen hundred years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons, Ironrath is a testament to the strength and endurance of Ironwood. The Forrester house words are 'Iron from Ice', which echoes their belief that - like the ironwood itself - the adverse conditions and unforgiving landscape of the North only makes them stronger."
"Ironrath sits on the edge of the largest ironwood forest in Westeros, which has proven to be a strategic advantage for the House. The trees are a valuable commodity; many of the best weapons, ships, and defensive structures include the use of ironwood. House Forrester controls the majority of the ironwood forests in the Wolfswood, much to the chagrin of their bitter rivals, House Whitehill."
"Although the Forresters have not appeared in HBO's TV show, they are canon to the world created by George R. R. Martin, having appeared in the book 'A Dance with Dragons'."
"You will play the game from five different points of view. Each character you play as is a member of House Forrester; either a direct family member, or a person in service to the House. Scattered across Westeros and Essos, each character will play their part in seeking to save House Forrester from destruction."
"Playing as five characters not only reflects the epic scope of Game of Thrones, but is also something that the player needs to be mindful of. This is because the actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester. Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you're truly playing the Game of Thrones…where you win, or you die."
"Additional details on the series and its upcoming premiere episode, 'Iron From Ice' are forthcoming. Stay tuned here to the Telltale Games Blog, twitter, and Facebook pages for more information as we approach the premiere, the first of six episodes, which will be arriving for download soon on PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and iOS, with additional platforms to be announced."

Gared was raised on stories of heroism about the likes of Arthur Dayne and Symeon Star-Eyes. Though the son of a pig farmer, he has always aspired to one day become a warrior himself. With the help of his uncle Duncan, who had risen from lowborn origins to become Castellan of Ironrath, Gared found work in Lord Forrester’s stables, rising through the ranks to eventually be named his squire. Gared has served Lord Forrester throughout the long months in King Robb’s army, and is ready to be a warrior in his own right.
Other characters from House Forrester:
Lord Gregor Forrester, the Lord of Ironrath, is lord of a strong Northern House and a bannerman of House Glover, who are in turn loyal to the great house of the north – the Starks (from USA Today)
Lady Elissa Forrester, Lord Forrester's Wife, was born to House Branfield, a minor Southron House that was destroyed when the Targaryen dynasty fell (from Mashable)
Asher Forrester, Exiled Son of Lord Forrester, had always been a rebellious youth – brawling in taverns, sleeping with whores, and finding ways to raise his father’s ire (from Game Informer)
Rodrik Forrester, Lord Forrester's First Born Son, took up arms against the Lannisters and is now feared by their soldiers (from Entertainment Weekly)
Maester Ortengryn, Maester to House Forrester, studied at the Citadel in the hope of being assigned to the Eyrie (from Wired)
Malcolm Branfield, Lady Forrester's Brother, was the black sheep of the Branfield family (from Nerdist)
Mira Forrester, Lord Forrester's Eldest Daughter, had always been fond of Ironrath, but Lady Forrester -- wanting her eldest daughter to learn the ways of a Southron court -- arranged for Mira to serve as a handmaiden to Margaery Tyrell (from Polygon)
Talia Forrester, Lord Forrester's Youngest Daughter, was named after her own mother (from GamesRadar)
Ethan Forrester, Lord Forrester's Third-Born Son, has a great love for the towering trees of Ironrath (from GameSpot)
Ryon Forrester, Lord Forrester's Fourth-Born Son, has grown up with fewer responsibilities than his siblings (from The Escapist)
Royland Degore, Ironrath's Master-at-Arms, joined Lord Forrester’s army after his family was wiped out by Ironborn during Balon Greyjoy’s rebellion (from The Verge)
Duncan Tuttle, Castellan of Ironrath, struck up an unlikely friendship with Gregor Forrester, the heir to House Forrester, when he was a boy (from Yahoo Games)

What do you think about the first episode of Borderlands? Personally, I didn't find the setting quite as intriguing or interesting as that of The Wolf Among Us, but I still think it was very enjoyable, and it felt far more polished. I'm really looking forward to the next episode. Their games are so addictive

Probably their weakest one at least for me who played the crap out of two Borderlands, I suppose they're kinda limited since the universe is not broad and established like other titles. It's more grounded and the humor is not off the wall compared to Gearbox's Borderlands, maybe it isn't a bad thing consider it's completely narrative driven. Still it's way better story wise compared to the crap that is Borderlands Pre sequel, talk about missing the mark.

The 1st one was average to good imo. Its story is in the same universe as the series, post season 3 I believe ( I didn't watch the show) although it's about brand new house, House Forrester so there is new thing and no spoiler to series and books. The writing is consistent and actually consulted by Martin team of writers, has all Telltale trademark twist & choice/ decision system. The bad thing is probably animation style which is also their trademark in other series, it just doesn't suit Game of Throne imo.

Re: Game Of Thrones by Telltale Games
So I've played through Episode 1: Iron From Ice about 3 times already.
Firstly, I really like this game. well worth the 5 bucks I chucked out for it and I look forward to doing the same with Episode 2 tomorrow.
Secondly, this game has captured the tone of the books and the show excellently. Great move to get the original actors to play themselves as well as Peter Dinklage's dialogue as Tyrion remains a highlight. Cersei is every bit as sinister, cunning and dangerous and Ramsey Snow is the same old crazy, sadistic torture fiend that we know him to be.
The game's largely conversation based and you have to make choices very quickly that will leave feeling like you screwed up. I say roll with it. I played 3 times and ended up going with my very first save on this, deleting the other 2. Very interested to see how my choices impact the narrative.
Episode 2: The Lost Lords is out tomorrow. I'll put out another review once I've given it a thorough play through.

Great episode, it was really enjoyable.
That song in the end nearly brought me to tears, so fitting and emotional ffs.
I need to replay this episode a few times to see the consequence of other choices, the thing that's special about this game is that you always feel like you made the wrong choices and possibly screwed up the fate of your family.

Re: Game Of Thrones by Telltale Games
Good episode, think the fourth episode has been the best so far.
- Spoiler:
That scene in the highpoint where Ludd Whitehill threaten to kill Ryon was pretty intense but i kept my cool and picked the "You're Bluffing" option, was obvious he isn't going to sacrifice his son.
lol at Ramsay Bolton going after a underage girl i know he's a scumbag but this is too much smh.

- Same here, i almost thought he was actually going to kill him
btw, you do know the mole is the mother? I thinks its pretty evident she's pulling a Catelyn.
The 'Kill Them!' option is pretty intense btw, i recommend you to see it on youtube. Shades of Red Wedding there

Re: Game Of Thrones by Telltale Games
Yeah finished it few days ago, i think this episode felt a bit short and left a lot of things unanswered but maybe they're keeping all the good stuff for the season finale.
- Spoiler:
- So it appears that Royland Degore was the mole (i picked Duncan as my sentinel) dunno if my snub had a effect on his betrayal but anyway never liked his character and couldn't wait to get rid of him but man i'm so glad i didn't execute him.
Who did you pick to stay in the final scene ? for me it was a really hard choice as i loved both of them but ultimately decided to sacrifice Rodrik, i think Asher as the lord of the house can be pretty useful.

Re: Game Of Thrones by Telltale Games
- Spoiler:
- I always presumed that mama Forrestor was the mole, went absolutely apeshit when i found out it was Roylan (Duncan was my sentinel as well) straight up murdered him lol
For the last scene it was tough, but i thought that the sellswords wouldn't fight for Rodrik if he lived. Ultimately went with Asher, its likely that i won't have the support of the Glenmores anymore after Elaena hears about this.
Everything hinges on Mira (lost cause for me at this point lmao) and Gared

Re: Game Of Thrones by Telltale Games
So has anyone finished the last episode yet ? what's your thoughts on the whole season ?
- Spoiler:
- This game kills important characters for fun my family was largely decimated in the end, it was pretty gruesome.
Mira's plot was a major disappointment, it doesn't matter how much you try to play smart and cunning, like hiding your trail, getting rid of the decree, playing nice with Cersei. what you do has little to no impact. in the end it feels like her character was a forced addition to the game so that Telltale could include Kings Landing and its politics in the game.

- Spoiler:
- Agreed on Mira, everyone died bar Asher, Ryon and Talia for me .
Can't believe Ludd Whithill still lived, ffs would rather Asher die if he dies as well ( i hate that fat prick so much)
I suspect next season we'll get to follow the remaining Forresters, Gared, that aide who's with Dany (can't remember his name) and Beskha+Ryon. All in all, the only possible way the Forresters can get back is either with Dany or help from the North.

- You can kill Ludd if you pick the poison route but that would means Gryff lives. honestly it sucks that you can't kill both of them, they're both evenly disgusting.
btw i heard Rodrik's scene when he's about to kill Gryff is pretty awesome too.

Finally finished this game and loved it.
Beyond that, really enjoyed this game. Looking forward to Season 2.
- Spoiler:
Didn't like the Mira storyline whatsoever so I agree with you guys on that. By the end, I didn't even care enough about her to try more to save her from the chopping block. I think I'll replay this again though and see what letting the coal boy die does.
Beyond that, really enjoyed this game. Looking forward to Season 2.
