http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2014/11/Family-Week-Gared-720x405.jpg

Gared was raised on stories of heroism about the likes of Arthur Dayne and Symeon Star-Eyes. Though the son of a pig farmer, he has always aspired to one day become a warrior himself. With the help of his uncle Duncan, who had risen from lowborn origins to become Castellan of Ironrath, Gared found work in Lord Forrester’s stables, rising through the ranks to eventually be named his squire. Gared has served Lord Forrester throughout the long months in King Robb’s army, and is ready to be a warrior in his own right.

Other characters from House Forrester:

Lord Gregor Forrester, the Lord of Ironrath, is lord of a strong Northern House and a bannerman of House Glover, who are in turn loyal to the great house of the north – the Starks (from USA Today)

Lady Elissa Forrester, Lord Forrester's Wife, was born to House Branfield, a minor Southron House that was destroyed when the Targaryen dynasty fell (from Mashable)

Asher Forrester, Exiled Son of Lord Forrester, had always been a rebellious youth – brawling in taverns, sleeping with whores, and finding ways to raise his father’s ire (from Game Informer)

Rodrik Forrester, Lord Forrester's First Born Son, took up arms against the Lannisters and is now feared by their soldiers (from Entertainment Weekly)

Maester Ortengryn, Maester to House Forrester, studied at the Citadel in the hope of being assigned to the Eyrie (from Wired)

Malcolm Branfield, Lady Forrester's Brother, was the black sheep of the Branfield family (from Nerdist)

Mira Forrester, Lord Forrester's Eldest Daughter, had always been fond of Ironrath, but Lady Forrester -- wanting her eldest daughter to learn the ways of a Southron court -- arranged for Mira to serve as a handmaiden to Margaery Tyrell (from Polygon)

Talia Forrester, Lord Forrester's Youngest Daughter, was named after her own mother (from GamesRadar)

Ethan Forrester, Lord Forrester's Third-Born Son, has a great love for the towering trees of Ironrath (from GameSpot)

Ryon Forrester, Lord Forrester's Fourth-Born Son, has grown up with fewer responsibilities than his siblings (from The Escapist)

Royland Degore, Ironrath's Master-at-Arms, joined Lord Forrester’s army after his family was wiped out by Ironborn during Balon Greyjoy’s rebellion (from The Verge)

Duncan Tuttle, Castellan of Ironrath, struck up an unlikely friendship with Gregor Forrester, the heir to House Forrester, when he was a boy (from Yahoo Games)

What do you think about the first episode of Borderlands? Personally, I didn't find the setting quite as intriguing or interesting as that of The Wolf Among Us, but I still think it was very enjoyable, and it felt far more polished. I'm really looking forward to the next episode. Their games are so addictive Razz

Probably their weakest one at least for me who played the crap out of two Borderlands, I suppose they're kinda limited since the universe is not broad and established like other titles. It's more grounded and the humor is not off the wall compared to Gearbox's Borderlands, maybe it isn't a bad thing consider it's completely narrative driven. Still it's way better story wise compared to the crap that is Borderlands Pre sequel, talk about missing the mark.

The 1st one was average to good imo. Its story is in the same universe as the series, post season 3 I believe ( I didn't watch the show) although it's about brand new house, House Forrester so there is new thing and no spoiler to series and books. The writing is consistent and actually consulted by Martin team of writers, has all Telltale trademark twist & choice/ decision system. The bad thing is probably animation style which is also their trademark in other series, it just doesn't suit Game of Throne imo.

So I've played through Episode 1: Iron From Ice about 3 times already.

Firstly, I really like this game. well worth the 5 bucks I chucked out for it and I look forward to doing the same with Episode 2 tomorrow.

Secondly, this game has captured the tone of the books and the show excellently. Great move to get the original actors to play themselves as well as Peter Dinklage's dialogue as Tyrion remains a highlight. Cersei is every bit as sinister, cunning and dangerous and Ramsey Snow is the same old crazy, sadistic torture fiend that we know him to be.

The game's largely conversation based and you have to make choices very quickly that will leave feeling like you screwed up. I say roll with it. I played 3 times and ended up going with my very first save on this, deleting the other 2. Very interested to see how my choices impact the narrative.

Episode 2: The Lost Lords is out tomorrow. I'll put out another review once I've given it a thorough play through.

Great episode, it was really enjoyable.

That song in the end nearly brought me to tears, so fitting and emotional ffs. Sad

I need to replay this episode a few times to see the consequence of other choices, the thing that's special about this game is that you always feel like you made the wrong choices and possibly screwed up the fate of your family.
