Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
I say we do the live chat, there'll be live streams all over the place, it's just a matter of finding one and sharing it with everybody. Only if everyone recites the following first:
Night gathers, and now my show begins. It shall not end until 10:00 PM. I shall offer no secrets, say no spoilers, reveal no major events. I shall post no quotes and ruin no moments. I shall live and die on my couch. I am the sword on goal legacy. I am the watcher in front of the telly. I am the shield that guards RG from all spoilers. I pledge my life and honor to this Live Chat, for this night and all the nights to come.

And good idea, brother. I strongly insist in a live-chat. First let us inform everyone the link to watch the show. I think this will be like a champions league night. Let us see who wins the game of thrones

I'd totally be up for a live chat. Even though it would be at a ridiculous time lol

Does the quality drop in the latter books ?

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
Nah RG, I don't think the quality drops. The 4th book (A Feast for Crows) is slow because it follows the A Storm of Swords, the undisputed best of the books, so it feels like a drop in quality, when in fact it's just bringing you back down to earth from the acid trip of third book. And I'm still on A Dance with Dragons, but I love it so far.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
Nah the quality is fine, when I said "dragging it out this long" I was referring to the fact that the first book was written 17 f*cking years ago and the end still is not in sight. It wasn't a remark towards the quality if the books themselves, which are excellent
But f*cks sakes this dude needs to speed it up

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
Yes but because he decided in book 4 to only talk about the characters in the South of Westeros and in Book 5 to talk about the characters in North of Westeros and in Essos. Hence in one book you get 25% of the chapters about Cercei, and if you hate Cercei like I do, you end up hating the book. If they were to re-release books 4 & 5 both interchanging all characters in chronological order I suspect I would have enjoyed both books more.RealGunner wrote:Does the quality drop in the latter books ?
For season 5 they already claimed that they will not follow the way of the books and include the entire cast.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
The reaction on twitter to that episode is both amusing and sort of funny
People are freaking out, I thought after Ned Stark got his head cut off in season one that people would be more prepared for this kind of thing, instead they are acting like the series is over....they really have no concept of what they are in for

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
I knew it was going to happen, and I wanted it to happen to get it over with, but god damn it rustles my jimmies every time I think of the Red Wedding.
My mom wouldn't shut up about how 'stupid' of a plot twist it was. She just wanted the Starks to defeat the Lannisters any day now then ride off into the sunset
